Juventus just defended brilliantly. They forced us to the wings, especially to the left wing, where Izzy constantly got the ball and crossed it. They knew this would never hurt them with our small attackers.

Izzy's crosses were never dangerous. A cross should always come from the byline because thats harder to defend. From the position of most of Izzy's crosses its easy to anticipate for the defenders. They see the ball coming and they only have to head it away.

But never mind, we played decent football against a well experienced Juventus side and I am extremely proud that we've made it this far. :shamrock:

Anyone that thinks Juventus are good enough to win the Champions League are deluded.

The likes of Madrid will absolutely destroy them, we just weren't clinical enough to take our chances whilst they scored every slip up we made.

We have come a long long way from the days of disasters like Sion and Braga. We lasted in Europe until March, a lot better than a * of a lot of teams with a * of a lot more money than we have.

Players have been outstanding in the qualifiers and the group stages, they were giants. The last sixteen was simply too far.

We were outplayed and outthought by Juventus, they were very smart in their tactics, allowing us possession and then countering quickly. The first leg cost us the tie, you cannot in any match concede 3 goals at home, its just suicide.

Both the players and the manager will learn from this, we need more continuity in tactics and team selection. At times throughout that game we had neither a defence nor an attack, some players were all over the shop.

Tactically we have been a bit naive in the knockout stage but Lennon will learn from it. Lets get the title wrapped up asap and gear towards another memorable season of champions league football 2013-2014.

Who thinks Juve will win it? Smart money is on the German sides.

Thought we played well again, overall I think the tie was ruined in the first leg with Juve's cheating and a * moron masquerading as a referee, it forced us to chase this game and leave ourselves open at times. Nonetheless if you told me at the start of the season that we would have made the last 16 of the Champions League with a squad with so little experience in it, I'd have asked you how long you'd been drinking for :56: More of the same next season please.

Aye, this. You can say what you like about 'class' and what not, but we had over 30 shots into them over the 2 legs and dominated possession in both games. We just didn't take our chances and gifted them goals through defensive errors.

A more clinical team would put them away easily, if they were to get Dortmund or Bayern in the quarters they'd get pumped.

To be honest I think Madrid would actually be one of the teams less likely to beat them, as Madrid thrive on goals on the counter and from outside the box, which are 2 things which Juventus seem to deal pretty well with.

Before the Celtic game? A shitload of people.

Even now there are plenty of people that will tell you they are the dark horses. They are pish. Relatively.

Listening to that bag of hot air on BBC Scotland Tom English said we were "HAMMERED" over 180 mins ????? OK we never scored but did we not have the most possession over both games. Awful individual mistakes cost us and certain players who were found out and are just not good enough for us cost us.

PS. Missed what Lennon said !!! Anyone tell me what he said about our media ?
