UCL Last 16: Celtic v Juventus Chat

I think Celtic will get at least 3 chances/half-chances tonight. I just hope they take them, and with a monumental performance in defence and a huge slice of luck...who knows?

 

I generally agree with your thoughts on Celtic mate but that formation is just scary. If we go away to Juventus and play 3-4-3 then the result will be......well...........it won't be pretty. That line-up would be suicide.

 

Don't agree with sitting back at all,we'll just invite them to play around our penalty box.Got to take the game to them and pressure them like we did in the 1st leg,but defend like we did against Barca and take our chances this time.

 

Mon the Hoops. Go 2-0 up by half time, force the pressure and get another.

This tie is far from over.

I am actually a wee bit shocked by the number of people who think we still have a chance of going through. It's never gonnae happen.

 

Just hope we can put in a performance to do ourselves proud. The scoreline flattered them in the first leg.

 

I think we can win the game... not so sure whether we can win it AND go through though.

If we can get a goal in the first half without reply, then it will be game on for the last 45!

 

I kind of agree with this too yeah its scary thinking going away playing 3 at the back but the 3 is potentially a 5 when the wing backs come in or a 6 if wanyama drops in. The two wing backs will be going forward no matter if theres 3 or 2 center backs and we could be doing with an extra CB for when they counter like the last time and we got caught 2 v 2.

I see Celtic getting a goal but not 3 to go to E/T then needing another to go through.

 

just been imagining barca away all over again even though its a different situation i can just imagine being 3-0 up and losing a goal with the last kick of the ball i couldnt go through that again... no point in winning 2-0 we would all feel like what if we scored another and i would rather lose badly than have the situation i stated above would be a heart breaker

To be honest I suspect tonight is just about re establishing our reputation which took a bit of a battering after the 1st leg. As well as we played we got no real credit from anyone, least of of the Italian press and Juve's players and manager. A draw tonight would a be more than enough for me because that would restore a bit of pride, even if Juve do play a "weakened" team.

 

Fancy Ledley for the first goal tonight, he has been in great form recently. As long as we make a game of it tonight I'll be happy. Everything else is a bonus.
