He says that the champions league is (still, after Man Utd's exit) full of good teams. He mentions Dortmund, then he mentions us. Then he proceeds to mention the like of PSG, Bayern, Barca. In the process of mentioning Bayern, he says sorry, not Arsenal, because he can't see them coming back.

Way I see it, he's giving us props, no two ways about it.

I love that we are only one shock away from producing the greatest comeback in our history. I know its very unlikely and bordering on impossible but we should just go for it anyway. I dnt think we have ever won on italian soil so lets try and correct that at the very least. Come on you bhoys in green!

Having thought about it, I think I understand it a bit better now. Everything that man says is calculated to have a carefully targeted effect- he's as clever as he is unpleasant. If you look at his interview as a whole, it's clearly calculated to please Fergie (that they're giants, not just physically but mentally, that their manager is this, that and the other, that he doubts they could have won 11 v 11 etc, he even has a subtle dig at Arsenal (we all know how Fergie gets on with Wenger) and finally mentions us (out of nowhere) amongst a group of elite European clubs.

Personally, I take two things from that interview:

    1) The rumours are true: Mourinho wants to take over from Fergie at Man Utd when the latter retires (sounds about right: one extremely gifted but highly unpleasant character taking over from another).

    2) The rumours that Fergie has a soft spot for us are also true.

It wouldn't surprise me. They won't be concerned with a draw, or even losing this game by a goal or so. The main thing is getting through with as many players available as possible.

If we can get a draw or a respectable 1-0 loss then i wont be too disappointed as we should have had at least a draw at parkhead.Taking ambroses bad moments out of the equation i thought it was one of our best displays in europe for a longtime.A decent performance will hopefully keep our new found credibility and respect.

Early goal tonight might rattle them. Doubt it but just maybe.

I'd replace commons with kayal, keep it more tight in be centre of midfield. Bu apart from that, that would be my team.

I'm going to let my heart rule my head on this one and say we can pull off a win. The odds are stacked against us I know but hopefully if we do go out the Bhoys do it fighting hard for everything.

It's obviously neer on impossible, but with a massive effort like you'd expect In the last 10 minutes. But right from the start we can with the memories of there freeking cheating and a point to prove. The defence should stay 3 center halfs with wing backs powering forward with eather wanyama or ledley staying around the half way line for cover, everyone go for it and mcgeough should play also. A goal in the first 15 minutes will inspire hope n hype, 2 0 up at half time will be dreamland and great team talks. Even if we get a 2 2 draw after that I'd be over the moon with the effort and experience but if we were 2 up at half time would love to go on and take the juve.. Come on Celtic right from the start... 150% effort.

Just gonna talk about the Mourinho part; Mentioning Celtic instead of Juventus is not because he thinks Celtic can do it, it's because he supports Inter (Juventus are rivals).

Mourinho had already mentioned Juve as contenders for the CL after the draw for the last 16 was made (http://www.goal.com/en/news/10/ital...rinho-i-fear-juventus-in-the-champions-league). I don't think he was being disrespectful to Celtic at all, my impression from that brief was that he respects them and was just rattling off a list of teams still in the competition.

To whoever asked about Juve's possible turnover for tonight - the rumours are that Isla will play instead of Lichtsteiner, Pogba instead of Marchisio, and (possibly) Peluso instead of Chiellini (who is still not 100% fit). Lichtsteiner, Marchisio and Vidal are all on bookings.

Nothing to lose by going for it. So long as we go down fighting I'll be happy and I have no doubt we will.

Will be interesting to see what happens should we get a corner........

Have to say, this is the least enthused I could be for a last 16 Champions League match involving Celtic.

There have been games in the past that you had the feeling something special was about to occur - the Barca game as an example. This just feels to me like a complete damp squib.

Uh oh. The anti-Mourinho brigade are out again.
