    No, unfortunately Mulgrew really has to be in the team because of his dead balls, though Kayal's a much, much better player in open play :54:. To be honest, I think we need to replace Mulgrew as our first priority for next season's CL campaign (now that we finally have a creative midfielder in Rogic). Basically we need either a Mulgrew with more pace to play at CB, or a midfielder like Nakamura was (just as good on dead balls, but as a midfielder offered much more in open play than Mulgrew ever could). Such a shame with Mulgrew, if he were just a little bit quicker he'd have all the tools to be a Celtic legend at CB. So yeah, just that, get Brown and Sammy 100% fit and hang on to Wanyama, Forster and Hooper for one more season and I really think we're looking good for next season's CL. Not asking much, am I? :icon_mrgreen:

    Because im on my period making it a very emotional time for me... :54:

    Mulgrew has been on pretty poor form lately. If he isnt going to be taking the dead balls then I dont see how anyone can justify playing him ahead of Kayal or Ledley in the middle.

    He could possibly play alongside Kelvin but I dont think he has enough pace as we will need to play a highish line.

    Is Lustig still out from the knock in the last Juve game?

    Love a bit of optimism and believe however this time it is all but over I'm afraid. Infact as soon as we conceded that first away goal 3mins into the 1st leg I feared for our chances. Had to try and stop them from scoring 1, never mind 3.

    All we can do is go out and give it our all, hopefully grab a goal or two and go down fighting.Cannot see them going without scoring at home.

    As long as we do ourselves proud in Turin, regardless of whether we go through or not I will be happy. This has been a very memorable European campaign and I look forward to next year's.

    If we have any hopes of overturning this deficit, I don't know how we can fit Wanyama, Kayal AND Ledley in the starting 11 which I've seen a few times on here.

    I mean if the aim is just to win this game, then fine. But we aren't going to win by 3 with all 3 in the 11 in my opinion. Think you'd need to have 2 of them sitting in there, with 3 behind a striker, or 2 wingers and a striker.

    Like I said, some people will be hoping just to win the game. I think we may as well go for it.

    McGeouch over Commons, Forrest and Stokes?
    Ambrose over Izaguirre?

    Not for me.

    Yep.

    Forrest has done next to nothing this season. He had a good game last night but Dylan McGeouch has played well in his last 2 games as well. I'm also not that keen on Kris Commons playing right wing and our wide players will have to do a lot of tracking back in this game. McGeouch would do a better job of tracking back than Commons.

    As for Stokes, it would be suicide for us to play 4-4-2 with Stooper up front in this match. We will get swamped in midfield, Pirlo will have the ball all night long, if we do that.

    Izaguirre will be no big miss if he's left out. The reason I picked Mulgrew over him is for Mulgrew's dead ball delivery. Free-kicks and corners will probably be our best chance of scoring so Mulgrew needs to play for that reason alone.

    No point in going all out attack as the tie is over. Winning out there would give us back our pride, though. Given that Brown is out, I'd like to see this (with Sammy playing his usual role, which I can't quite show on this):

    ------------------------:Forster:-------------------

    :Matthews::Ambrose::Wilson::Izaguirre:

    ----------------------- :Wanyama:--------------

    -----------:Commons::Kayal::Ledley:-----------------

    -------------------------------------------------:Samaras:

    -------------------- :Hooper:------------------------

    That's one * of a quick back line, I'd like us to keep it tight first half and then second half use that pace to push up and press like * (like we did for nearly 80 minutes at CP). Yes I know I left Mulgrew out, but with the tie over I'd like to see this tried, with a view to next year. If the tie were still live I'd play Mulgrew ahead of Ledly.

    Playing Samaras in this game is vital. We should focus on using the high ball into the big man at any opportunity. Flood the midfield with five men, play wide and hurt them the old fashioned way.

    Exactly the tie is more or less over so i would go for it. We have nothing to lose. If we lose out there it will not be a bad result.

    I would rather go out known that we totally went for it rather than going there playing for possibly a respectful draw.
