I like your optimism I wish I could happen but I doubt that result will ever happen.

Anybody giving Lennon a hard time for picking ambrose is a total clueless *. Ambroses' fitness was not a issue at all. He was too complacent for the first goal and totally lost his mind mind for the third.

Also gave a corner away, from the half way line.

Dropping Efe would've meant seen Lenny having too change the shape and tactics of the team with probably Mulgrew slotting in at centre back.

Efe put in performance against Barca and Co to ensure we got to this stage so he was fit and available to play so it would've been a no brainer.

With the benefit of hindsight, it was probably too risky playing Ambrose so soon after his arrival back in Glasgow ( but was Effe entirely honest with Lenny with regards to his fitness, energy and concentration levels ? ), and also playing Forster and Forrest who both looked ring rusty after long injury lay offs. We had Zaluska there and McGeouch who could have done a job, and we had either Rogne, Gershon and Fraser who could have filled in for Ambrose.

We have to move on from this now and focus on winning the double, and congratulating ourselves for reaching the Last 16 of the Champions League. This has to be a learning curve for Lenny and the players.

The Juventus fans are welcome on the forum as long as they stay within the forum rules.

I see Juventus fans are showing the same level of class (or lack thereof) as their team did last night.

Not surprising. After all they continue to count the titles, that were taken from them for being cheating match fixing scumbags.

After sleeping on it a few observations about last nights game.

Ambrose has gifted them 2 goals. He should never have started, would've put Mulgrew in at CB and had Ledley out left, no idea why Ledley didn't start. Forrest shouldn't have played the full game, he wasn't fit. Poor team selection from Lennon.

It was never going to be an easy task after Samaras didn't make it, we didn't have anyone to hold the ball up. I thought we had a good performance but weren't clinical enough and didn't work Buffon enough, most of our shots were right at him.

The referee and the officials had a shocker but we should've defended better.

They punished us for our mistakes and were clinical when it mattered most, and at this level that's what it's all about.

We were always going to need a bit of luck on our side but it ran out last night.

Still extremely proud of this Celtic team and we shouldn't be too harsh on ourselves, we set out to prove a point and we've more than done that.

Don't be daft, the Sevconians don't speak English as fluently as the Italians on here

Some of our Bhoys need a wee bit more expierence at this level to be able to work with teams like juve when they deploy some of their 'tactics'.

Its a shame but ultimately they were ruthless infront of goal and we never got in behind them, which is hard when we played into their hands with that early goal letting them deploy their usual style of play.

Nothing to be ashamed off we are at the top table and have been taught a lesson which will serve the lads well in future.

Lets go to their bit and go for it, nothing to lose.

Guys the Juve fans that have signed up are mostly genuine Juve fans...mostly based in the North of Italy....staff have been quite stringent in our checks....there may have been the very odd Italy based zombie that got through but on the whole we denied the biggest majority of potential zombie infiltrators :50:

I can believe that Marie, it's quite obvious once they start posting which ones are at the wind up (huns) and which are generally only defensive if someone starts the daft comments :50:

Some are just here to defend their team and are doing so in an as non offensive way as possible....which no doubt is difficult for them to not get angry and abusive... and then there are those who are just here to goad and gloat, they have been shown the door.

If they respect the forum rules then they are welcome like any other other football fan....except the sevconians :icon_mrgreen:

Aye you can generally tell which ones are just being quite defensive over football matters/insults and which ones are just absolutely at it from the start and only causing trouble :50:

It amuses me that so many Sevconians think that Juve training on Murray Park for an hour and subsequently beating us somehow makes their own wee team relevant in some way. Saw a few on my Facebook doing it as well.

They're obviously taking Green's methods to heart and trying to keep themselves in peoples thoughts through any deranged method :smiley-laughing002:

Yeah....Facebook seems to be full of closet Juve fans all of a sudden....pretty sad really but if it makes them feel normal for a slit second then who are we to mock them :86:
