I've seen them a few times too. I'm not surprised they counter-attacked after getting an early goal. They were so adept at it. When we were on top any breakaways were nullified by the pace of Wilson and Ambrose.

But as the tiredness kicked in, the intensity of our pressing dropped and they picked us off. Classic counter-attack play.

    Again, I can't disagree. :50:

I wonder if they didn't score so early whether we'd have saw them playing more like they usually do? Or if he genuinely did think counter attacking was the way they could get a result against us regardless.

My favourite moment from last night. Never fail to get goosebumps, after all these years.

It's demented to suggest that their is a radius around the goalkeeper that players can't enter. Surely if that was a rule for the goalkeeper (which it isn't!!!) it would have to be the same for the defenders and attacking players.

Did Juve players go into the space where we were going to go into? Of course they were. So for your argument to stand up it would only equate to even more fouls inside the box. Hence why that son, will never make the rule book.

You know the actual rule book that exists and not one that only seems to exist in the corrupt Italian league.

It was a joke, everyone was amazed the referee let all this go unpunished, even the Juve fans (yourself included as you admitted to earlier).

Keepers get all the protection they need, if Buffon goes to get the ball and someone pushed the goalkeeper it's a free-kick. That didn't happen. But what if the goalkeeper does the same because he was pushing all the time.

    Is that a foul?

    Of course it is.

We all saw the pictures on live TV, so you can have no argument really.

I've watched plenty of Juve games to know the "professionalism" that goes down and it's not coincidence that Juve get away with it all the time, but not for much longer.

It's all over the news and ask yourself this, what would the Italian press have said, if they second yellow and a penalty had been given?

We should all just stand outside the box at corners, or just take corners out the game because it becomes more accustomed to basketball when teams like Juve decide to take the game into disrepute.

We'll have put in a hefty complaint, trust me.

There are one or two ways to get around this fouling in the box and it begins with dishing out penalties. I imagine the Juve team will then start dropping like flies inside the box.

They always find ways to push the rules to the edge and do anything to get an advantage, like Pirlo claiming that Scott Brown had stamped on Lichtenfarter.

Pressurizing the ref is also a yellow card offence and i wish they'd start dishing out more cards for this too.

Juve would've sold their granny to get a result last night, reeks of desperation to be honest. Broony gets fouled in the box Juve go up the park and score, this was the difference.

Oh aye and while we're at it what about the first goal. Did anybody not think it was funny how when Ambrose (who jump higher than anyone else on the park) didn't get any height into his jump for the first. I wonder if he was getting his shirt pulled, so that he didn't get up to head the ball.

Juve players woould never do such a thinkg would they?

Nah, they never commit any fouls:)

Yes I've watched every single competitive game under conte and I didn't see that coming at all. We are not a traditional Italian team generally, I think we had the best or amongst the highest goals/shots in the group stages. Also we are top scorers in the league. Yet our we have no proven goal scorer so we usually have to play the numbers game and create so many chances that someone finishes one.

Very unexpected dynamic to the game and makes me wonder what the 2nd leg will be like. We play on Friday and Wednesday next time and I do think this will make a difference as we looked tired- we usually would have run harder.

Outworked and outclassed by a team from the SPL resorting to cheating to win.

    I would be embarrassed.

I'm going to go out on a limb here...

We CAN score goals (we put 3 past Barca this season) and we're playing decent football. I reckon if we can go a goal up in the first half in Turin, then the dynamic of the tie will change over the final 45 mins.

I'd normally say it was 'goodnight' if we're 0-3 down at the halfway stage in a European contest, but I'm going to keep the faith on this one until it's an absolute impossibility!

    Hail hail...

Haha that's a video of Giovinco with Juve's youth team. A bit harsh to judge him on that.

I can understand the aggravation over Lichsteiner, but diving? Did any Juve player actually dive last night? The only 'dives' I remember were from Brown and Commons (or maybe Forrest, I can't quite remember).

To be fair, neither Licht nor Brown covered themselves in glory there.

Haha yes a real mighty shove there. For a supposed hard man, Brown went down beautifully. It was embarrassing play by both players.

I said he was pushed not that he was mightily shoved, who says he is a hard man and what difference does that make to anything?

Poor show attempting to cover up blatant cheating by exaggerating Browns involvement.

I don't see what Brown did wrong their? 'Licht' is a dirty player, no denying that. He is. There was plenty of time wasting and diving going on from Juve players last night.

Now Rangers are dead, I have a team to hate as much as I hated them.

Juventus. Most vile and disgusting team I have ever seen play football (Which they hardly done, more rugby than football).

Both of them should be embarrassed about that incident. Broony goes down like Paul Alcock..........

    [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-VFp1WwSMu4"]Paulo Di Canio * Boom - YouTube[/ame]

...............and the Juve player is just a cheating scumbag. He thinks he might get sent off so decides to roll around on the ground to deflect attention away from what he did. I hate that kind of thing. :38:

He pushed Brown out of nowhere though from right next to him, if he walked to wards him and pushed him Brown would have anticipated it. Its not like Brown went down holding his face, he stumbled fell and got back up.

The Juventus * went down and started rolling about without being touched trying to make it look like someone done something to him, that clip isnt long enough he done about 3 rolls.

Brown has never dived in his puff.
