The result was 3-0 because we foolishly started Efe Ambrose, who had played a cup final two days before. He was culpable for two goals, due to having stepped off the plane yesterday morning, but he told our manager that he was ready to play.

If Ambrose had been rested, the goals would more than likely have been prevented. Look at our two games against Barca to see how well we can defend when everyone is fully fit.

If he jumps unfairly with Buffon, then yes. The whole point of the tactic is to slow the keeper getting to the ball by forcing him to take longer by going round the player.

What Lichsteiner and Padoin did was uncalled for, completely over the top :38:

What annoyed me was the fact our supposed 'warriors' in Wanyama, Ambrose, Brown etc were like little * when those hairband wearing feminine grease balls bullied them. Instead of going mental at the officials, Lennon should be screaming at them to push them back.

Yes and you expected that Lichtsteiner let Hopper hit the ball and score without problem?

In what game did we ever drag and pull out of players and cheat our way to victory? Stop trying to glorify you're teams performance, the scoreline completely flatters you's. The only thing yous done better was take your chances.

    Don't talk *.

Wanyama in particular was immense last night. Barely 2 minutes into the game and he had Buffon scrambling across the goal line to put the ball out for a corner.

They were anything but 'bullied'. We dominated the midfield area for the majority of the game and the statistics reflect that.

He is. But the rules of the game say nothing about occupying (before the ball is kicked) the path you think the goalkeeper is likely to want to take. Otherwise you'd have to specify which areas forward players can and can't occupy before a corner kick. It's totally legal.

Yes but if you kick the corner on the second post how can Buffon take the ball without touch Hooper in front of him? It's simple...

Look, the rules are simple to understand. If you push a player with your chest it's a foul, it's a body check. If you raise your hands and push a player over it's a foul and a bookable offence. If you wrap your arm around a players neck and pull him to the ground it's a foul. If you pull a players shirt it's a foul.

Standing in front of goalkeeper is not. All the other players stand next to each other.

So go and find the quote from the ACTUAL RULES that says that a player can't stand in front of the goalkeeper to simply shorten his peripheral vision.

And it's not our problem. We had to exploit all the problems you could have...

I expect him to play within the * rules of the the game of football, you are not allowed wrap your arms around a player and manhandle them simple as that, he's a cheating * like the club he represents.

I didn't mean in open play - I agree we did dominate. I'm talking about at corners when they were manhandling us, Wanyama walked out of the box, Brown tried to get away from the one marking him.

Aye we were actually really rusty at the back when you think about it.

    Forster
    Lustig Ambrose Wilson Izaguirre

It was only Forsters 2nd game in 5 weeks, Ambrose 1st game in 5 weeks, the first time Lustig had played at right-back in 5 games and Izaguirre's return after injury.

Was the first time theyd played together since the 12th of December against Arbroath.

Bah, if you are happy of your team performance after a 3-0 in your house so much that you think you could beat a team like Juventus, after that in this season you already beated Barcelona, which is an historical result, it's your problem. In my opinion, my team can play better than the best barcelona, but if we loose 3-0 I'm not happy...

He can't, either that or go the long way round. That's the beauty of the tactic. It's not against the laws of the game.

    I misinterpreted your post. Apologies.

We could have done more with the likes of Wanyama at set pieces, I agree with that, but the way Hooper was being hauled about should have resulted in a penalty anyway, had the referee been competent and fair.

It's fitting you say in your opinion. Because everyone else in the world knows that garbage, even the other Juve fans on here have said Barca would beat them.
