Fair enough, it would never be allowed in Italy though. In that case. we can argue forever about which is the better rule, but neither of us would be really right or wrong.

Just accept the fact that we dominated your lot last night and a mixture of basic defensive errors and poor officiating won you the match.

Pirlo = nowhere to be seen, until Brown clattered him.
Vidal = nowhere to be seen, full stop.

Which is why UEFA should be making sure the ref's don't allow cultural differences to infringe the game and stick to the general rules rather than thinking "well that's just the norm for Serie A" or "That's just the norm for the SPL" and letting things go.

Again we are back at the * ref. * of a man.

The problem is that Hooper first, an then Brown, could not do what they was doing. Or better, if they try to obstruct Buffon you cannot expect that Juventus defenders let them do that without any disturbance.

At no point does Hooper touch Buffon.

It's just down to how the referee interprets the situation. It didn't go in our favour, we move on. When Juventus did the same thing at Celtic Park over ten years ago, we got a penalty. Last night we didn't. That's life.

We can cry about it all we want, but did any of us actually think we'd get fair refereeing? I mean ffs we had a banner that attacked Uefa (* Uefa) of course they'd be out to get us.

It's only obstruction if he moves into the space Buffon is moving into. It is not obstruction if (before the corner is taken) he anticipates where Buffon is likely to want to go and stations himself there. He's perfectly entitled to stand wherever he wants!

The only way you had to win with technical teams like Barcelona or Juventus is to to fouls from the beginning to the end. Soccer is not that thing, soccer is play with the best resource we have. If yours is to exchange Soccer with Karate it's not my fault.

Let's not embarrass ourselves with daft conspiracy theories.

The refereeing team were incompetent weapons. That much is obvious. It cost us at least the chance to equalise. From then on, who knows how the game would have panned out.

I mean the "blocking" I think is a bit of a grey area as who is to say that a celtic player has any more right to stand in front of Buffon than a juve player. BUT the grabbing was a foul, if you grab someone in the area it should be a pen so I was watching it willing him to stop.

You were in the driving seat I'll phrase it like that ha! But we adapted to your plan so although it wasn't pretty, we kept it tight and scored. I'm not trying to say that celtic were not good but many parts of our game were poor so I'm the sense of who played better I would say every celtic player was better apart from ambrose, then marchisio did show his class for us.

For Celtic who knows what could happen in turin but more realistically I think next year you'll be aiming to reach the last 16 at least which is really positive for the club. And fair play honestly I knew you were going to be hard to play but you kind of schooled us in many ways.

For juve, if we progress then the perception that we aren't that good doesn't bother me at all, we didn't look brilliant yes but for one reason or another park head is a hard place to win so that means a lot to me. Roy keane says we can't win but if it was man utd they'd be saying how its the sign of a top team when you win when not at your best. English press are annoying biased...

I agree, but where do you start? There's a massive culture clash in many aspects of the game. I live in England and watch a lot of EPL so I know that this standing in front of the keeper happens often. I still think it's a dirty trick that shouldn't be allowed. Likewise, British football culture finds it outrageous whenever a player who has been fouled appeals for a card, but many in Italy wouldn't. They would, on the other hand, be horrified by some of the dangerous and overly aggressive tackles in British football.

I'm not saying either is right or wrong, I'm just pointing out the big differences.

Em, were your players not the ones fouling and dragging our players around like * rag-dolls trying to stop us playing??

Buffon is clearly going to go forward. He's not going to move backwards, is he? So if you stand in front of him, you're blocking the space he will move in to, with no intention of playing the ball.

Are you simple? your fullback was the one throwing our player around the place, more like judo.

You dominated what??? I told you that we played in different way to let you have possession of the ball because with your aggression you could beat us. It's better to let you play and then start again...ant the result was 3-0 not 1-0.

Yeah, that was a great header Samaras scored against Barca, wasn't it? Funny how his hair looked so much shorter in that game.

No, it's not. Hooper must not make contact with Buffon by moving into the space he is occupying or moving into. He can touch Buffon, if Buffon moves into the space Hooper is occupying.

Juventus style of play last night reminded me of Walter Smith style anti-football, sit back, disrupt play, time waste and foul. I thought they were pure pish throughout the game and am still in disbelief that we actually lost the game nevermind 3-0.

I wont be happy until they are knocked out the tournament and want them humiliated by someone like 5-0.
