Lets be real here, all teams try and gain an advantage in different ways, celtic left back had one BLATANT dive that wasn't punished so is the ref biased because he didn't book him? Scott brown was clearly trying to rattle pirlo by putting in hard fouls on occasion, and although free kicks were given this is still a form of gamesmanship but its just one that is accepted in the UK.

Let's say there was a pen, would you have scored it? If you had what would our response have been? People are acting like the ref handed juve a win, no I watched the higlights again and we just defended well. Celtic played well to a point in the sense that they came at us but you conceded 3 goals and we conceded 0. You might say its down to errors but that is why out defenders cost 10x more because they don't do things like that; the mistakes will happen if the defender isn't top class.

Actually watch the highlights objectively and you see that you had more possession and shots but the quality of your chances was poor- you had less clear chances than us. So I'm sorry all this celtic deserved more I don't buy it; you came at us which I REALLY respect but we adapted and won the game, almost ending the tie at one of the harshest grounds in Europe.

In terms of us playing negatively, I don't care because you left so much space in behind because of your pressing that at times pirlo was just able to pick you off. The performance of our players was poor in possession at times so that's why we looked quite rattled and it gave you a boost.

Well they are Italian... I don't know why I'm surprised at what went on at the game last night, Italian football always has been and always will be corrupt and full of scum.

It just shows the character of your fans to come on here and defend your team to high heavens... If Celtic players acted like Juve I would not be showing my face on here, I'd be completely embarrassed and full of shame.. But what do I expect from Italian fans, you're all the same.

That's not what you replied to. You bolded his bit saying "fans are either blind or intentionally * stupid" to which you replied "well they are Italian".

If you'd implied that another race/ethnic group was inherently "blind or intentionally * stupid" you'd be banned and rightly * so.

    So, no. I won't get a * grip.

Spot on mate. I remember watching Italy get to the final of the euros in 2002 with Cannavaro and Nesta doing this pretty much every game. It was not a one off. I don't think you can really blame the Juve defenders for doing it. it is cheating but they know they are going to get away with it so there is no incentive for them not to do it.

The fault lies with the officials but not just the officals in this game.

    Tongue in cheek.

But fine mate, whatever you say. Could be I've misinterpreted your tone, but judging by the amount of "casual", and quite frankly accepted, racist terminology throughout the site the last few weeks I doubted it. Could have clouded my judgement on your comment though, I admit.

This is true, I suppose. It's been there for years without being really tackled by the governing bodies.

I don't like it but your are very nieve if you think things like this aren't common across all leagues. Think it was hooper who hit the deck like a stone when peluso literally brushed him with his elbow- he knew it wasn't a foul yet he went down to try and gain an advantage and fool the ref- talk about double standards.

All that's is happening is that the Italian tricks are foreign but the ones uses in the PL etc just become normal as you are accustomed to them. To repeat myself falling over on purpose to try and get a pen is exactly the same, you think you would have cared if you got that pen? No you would have taken it all day.

Don't want to rub it in but if everyone on here is a level headed * who actually watches football all over the world then you'd realise that this is the modern game. Mourinho teams do it constantly but he wins and that's all that matters.

I would have used stronger dialect if I was being serious... Thought it was quite obvious seeing as I went on to talk about their football and not the people of Italy...

Nope, it wasn't very obvious, to me anyway. I considered maybe that was the case but because you made the comment and separated it from the rest (...) I assumed it was intended how it was written, as two separate points.

As I said, other posts and the use of certain terms may have clouded my judgement on your individual post. If it really was tongue in cheek - even if it is seemingly void of the tongue part - fair enough.

Show me a clip of a Celtic player blatantly diving last night... All I'm saying is I'd rather lose with dignity than win in the manner you did, and you obviously think differently... Winning isn't all that matters, doing your club and country proud is what matters, all Juve did last night was lower my opinion of Italian football. Which was quite low to begin with.

Thought he was excellent last nigh and tore into * like a madman (a bit more of a smarter madman these days)

No. Repeatedly telling each other to get a grip is classed as trolling and would get you a ban. In threads by staff are warnings only to "try and prevent " guys getting bans.
