Don't care if any of you's disagree or take the * out of Celtic but that performance was absolutely brilliant by Us, out played Juventus from Kick off. All Juventus had was a counter attack and dirty defending but nothing else. If i were the manager of Juve i would be happy with the result but absolutely disgusted by the performance. Juventus were consistently dirty when Celtic won corners ect. I'm not one of blame referees alot but that ref tonight must have been paid or bribed, disgusted with that officiating. Heard he has had quite a few very bad games, including a world cup game in 2010, how can he be allowed to ref at this level still? * off is an understatement, but on the positives, very strong performance by Celtic.

Out the competition, outscored by 3 goals but still not defeated.

Game was immense and gutting at the same time, it was heart ache to see us play so well (15 shots to 5, 66.9% territory, 14 corners) and somehow lose 3-0.

I am just proud we got so far and in such style.

I think there's been enough of the hate for Juventus fans.

Comment on the team all you want, but to start slagging their fans (with the obvious exception of the few who have come to troll) isn't right.

Lichsteiner is on my list of most hated players now though :smiley-laughing002:

Even the English commentator questioned his credentials.

    Says it all really.

I noticed that Pirlo complained about a Brown's tackle on himself, tackle that was a yellow card worthy, actually. But all in a normal level.

It is understandable your disapointment after a bad result, especially after having played well, but that doesn't justifiy many accuses I'm listening against the other team and also towards us Juve's supporters on this forum.
A delusion for who, like me, had a great idea about celtic spirit of sportivity

Of course not (you'll note that I've not accused Juve of cheating). I expect the referee to enforce the law, though, and stop Lichtsteiner manhandling Hooper.

No, but he is actually allowed to move in anticipation of where he thinks the keeper wants to go. We have used this tactic for a couple of years, both domestically and in Europe (e.g. against Spartak Moscow). Believe me, it's legal.

Fair enough. In open play I saw some simulation from both sides to be honest. It was a very bad-tempered game because both sides were very physical.

A lead at half-time and they'll * it. If we play like we did on the ball tonight we could get at least a couple of goals. Two of their goals came from shocking errors from a player who'd been playing a national cup final half-way across the world only 48 hours ago. We were all over them for most of the game, but whether we can do that away from home is probably unlikely and going on the result they still hammered us tonight.

Can't see them resting their team though, especially if their lead in Serie A is widened.

I'm not holding out much hope - we're out all but mathematically as far as I'm concerned. I'd be happy enough with a respectable result in Italy (win/draw or a loss by the odd goal).

The fact that we lost is made better by the fact that we proved a lot of doubters wrong by getting to this stage in the first place, defeating the best side on the planet along the way.

I have a feeling that Wanyama and Hooper will be sold for megabucks in the summer and hopefully, some of that money will be spent on rebuilding the squad for another crack next season.

    I'm not picky.
I'm not saying that two wrongs make a right but in all honesty when you have some of your fans coming on purely to taunt us and talk * then it's to be expected. How would you feel if some of us signed onto a Juventus forum after a match like that and taunt your fans and belittle the team?

Many opposition team's fans have came on after us beating their team - or even us getting beat by them - and have had a lot of respect for us and the way we played and wished us well, but tonight we have just seen a few come on and talk rubbish saying that we deserved to get nothing, played rubbish and that we didn't play well.

No offence but I hope that when we play you over in Turin we have the come back of the century and knock you out the competition :icon_mrgreen:

I'm gutted , this is the best we have played the whole campaign , we got no luck , referee was * and maybe ambrose shouldn't have played, but I would have played him too. We have done our selfs proud, and this is just the start players will come and go , but we will keep the core of this amazing team we are one of the few teams in europe trying to do things the right way ! So I'm gutted but proud ! We have tried our best and plenty more to come from us . Come on you bhoys in green hail hail! :celt_2:

Yes. Why don't you agree? I thought there were some very robust challenges and high feet from both sides. It was just that sort of game.
