Thought we played very well tonight. Learned a few lessons though. Yes Effe cost us and maybe shouldnt have played but hindsight is great. in the end though we didnt have enough up front otherwise we would have won that game. Unlucky that our chances fell to Commons on his wrong foot and not to Hooper. Juve got away with murder but showed us how to play * and still run away 3-0 winners. Good learning for a young team. Effe had a nightmare but people saying Mulgrew should have played at the back obviously didnt see that Charlie had one of his worst games too. So, coulda been worse. But all in all most of the team played very well and can hold their heads up. Hopefully they learn from it and carry on improving next season.

So if a caution can be handed so can a red card and that is the very least the ref should have done with Lichtsteiner. He may not be able to award a penalty until the ball has been kicked from the corner BUT he can still take disciplinary action.

Hooper and Lichtsteiner both got booked (wrongly for Hooper because he was just trying to stand there). After that Lichtsteiner STILL carried on as if he had never been booked and the ref should have done something about it.

All my liverpool supporting mates have been posting on facebook for the last few months that juve will win the champions league. From what I have seen of them tonight they won't.

I am so proud of the bhoys, they gave it to a squad who are more experienced at this level and who cost significantly more. The team gave 100% and this is easily one of the best efforts I have seen as a whole in recent times in europe. Looking at the positives, many people didn't even think we would make the group stages so getting tot he round of 16 is a tremendous effort. Hopefully we give juve the same in turin and show them and everyone else that celtic are a strong side who shouldn;t be underestimated.
