What a pile of * once again from Sky. They were obviously watching a completely different match to what the rest of us (well, most of us anyway judging by some comments on here) were watching.

 

Juventus could do what they done to us to any team outwith the top couple of teams in Europe. We have shown we are quite clearly capable of holding our own at this level.

 

I know what you mean. I agree that he shouldn't have played but I think generally Ambrose is a reliable player... know full well opinions vary widely on this though.

 

We were lucky to a certain extent, yes. You have to be lucky as underdogs in this competition though. The gulf in spending between ourselves and the richer clubs (such as Barca and Juve) is too big, so luck definitely has to play a part somewhere.

We did fully deserve the win over Barca though, because as I've acknowledged, Lenny got it spot on. A mixture of tactical genius and a rub of the green got us through the group. You're just trying to put words in my mouth now.

First half we were poor. And tbh I think that was down to them being * and the ref allowing it.
Second half we pished on them but still the played to the ref. we should have done better in front of goal...and again...we knew they would be dirty cheating fuckerz. And the ref was diabolical.
For the first time in my memory I left to gt a drink. * fuming.
They played their usual cheating * and the ref bought every dive/handball and every * elbow to hoppers napper.

I'm utter livid. Firstly by how we played into it. And secondly coz we shouldn't have played the 11 we started with. And thirdly coz the ref was worse than Willie Collum with his back turned to maj having a *.

Livid. Raging. And disappointed.


Lesson learned. I'd be surprised if it wasn't the same in Turin.

 

They're clearly a club with no morals. They will permanently be known as cheats around the world.

 

really good performance, thats the best we have played this year in the champo, mor possesion than them more chances than them more adventure than them. i fully understand that they didnt have to do anything after there early goal but we pressed them and pushed and they were * the only negatives for me were ambrose obviously but also forster shouldve done better with all 3 goals (dont kill me for that) and mulgrew is a passenger when he plays in midfield but overall i am actually very proud of how we played and with sammy back next leg and forster back to to fitness we can push themm all the way

 

Have to agree.

I believe we deserved to go through in to the last 16, that's a given.

However, to say we weren't lucky is just plain stupid.

I don't think Foster has been at his best in the last 2 matches...

Foster on form would probably have prevented those goals .. i think he is just short of match fitness as opposed to not being fully fit.

Gutted for the team who played great for 70 mins and ran their hearts out for the entire game. Gutted for the fans who sang themselves hoarse.

 

Not really, I'm baffled as to how you could think we're not cut out for this level after all we've done this season. Our only poor performance was away to Benfica and we were beaten 2-1. We beat Spartak Moscow twice, we were unlucky to lose away to Barca, we beat Barca at home and we drew at home to Benfica. All of that and you say we're not cut out for this level? I despair. I honestly despair.

 

Hooper was consistently fouled and obstructed by that Juve defender. Which the ref chose to ignore or punish Hooper for.

Juve are cheats.

 

Exactly, I have friends on facebook that are supporters of many SPL teams but they all agree we were robbed.

How can you possibly, in ANY way so we were poor first half? Everyone I was with, myself included, where stunned at how we had Juve on the ropes by half time.

 

In what way is it stupid?
We went 2-0 up against them and they should have had 2 men sent off. That win is not luck to an extent in my eyes. It's totally disrespectful to our players to suggest it was in my opinion. They gave it absolutely everything, they wanted it more and they deserved the win they achieved.
