Was at the game and we were brilliant. Bottom line is Effe was a bomb scare and once the first went in we were always up against it.

Ambrose was unfit and Forrest was unfit. NEITHER of them should have started one of the most important games in our entire history. It is because of those two that we are all but out. No way will we go to Turin and win 4-0, it is completely unrealistic.

Matthews and Ledley both should have started, with Wilson and Mulgrew at centre back, and Izzy at left back.

I am gutted as will the players be. They should be very proud of their performance 100% effort and outplayed Juve. A great achievement but a lesson to be learned too.

Juve gave a very professional performance. Obviously the scoreline flatters them but they played to their game plan and gave our young team a lesson on counter attack football. They were absolutely clinical in front of goal and faultless at the back.

Ambrose was obviously at fault for 2 goals and he will be feeling it but you win and lose as a team. I just wish we could keep this team together as it is all part of the learning prosses but alas this aint gonna happen.

I swear mate that the match threads on this forum are disgusting at times. I just cannot believe that some think we were poor or whatever words they are using. For us to lose a goal early doors and then respond the way we did was brilliant. The players could easily have let their heads drop but they did the exact opposite. I'm so proud of our team tonight and throughout this campaign. I just wish others would get a bit of perspective.

 

The ref was terrible but not going to blame the ref for the loss although if he got his decisions right it could have been different.

When the group was drawn I was happy with the Europa the league, the fact that we got to compete in the last 16 was a huge bonus.

This has been a great season for us, regardless of what is still to come. We have defied the odds so many times this campaign. We have beat Barcelona, got an away win in Europe, qualified from a very hard group to the last 16 and did all of this with a largely inexperienced squad that cost pennies compared to the other teams in the Champions League.

I'm proud of how our team have done, regardless of the result tonight.
