Those stats for Izaguirre are offensive ones. He is excellent going forward it's his defensive game he struggles with at times.

Yeah half the statistics from the Barcelona game were probably made up before the game had even started. Uefa and BBC state we had 34% possession.

We'll stick to luck, you (Juventus) can stick to match fixing.

It was just a joke mate as someone said we were all acting like kids and that is the sort of thing kids say when they are been told off. Perhaps it was lost in translation. Back on topic which stats are u referring to that suggest izzy is our best player? I assume you are talking about assists and pass completion etc? Thing is those stats won't measure when he is caught out of position and someone else has to bail him out. I hope he plays and recovers his best form but I don't think many Celtic fans would see him as our key player.

Izzy is not our weak link, he has been superb in the Champions League this season

    Seriously underated defensively.

Its more his positioning that has let him down in the past rather than his defensive ability, on tue if he plays he'll probably be on the back foot anyway for most of the game so it shouldnt be a problem. Doubt he'll play anyway.

I think his defensive positioning is generally excellent, if Neil wants him to push forward though it can be a liability. Something that Joe Ledley usually cancels out.. but we an't take that risk in this game.

Love the Juve arrogance, from players to fans :50:

A cheating club that had to cheat to beat us last time we played them in Italy, we are used to being up against cheats. Not a problem to us.

I thought they were too, mate; but this issue has already been covered much earlier in the thread and they weren't doing anything most other big clubs don't also do.
As for the arrogance, I assume you're talking about this Juventuz forum. That's already been covered too, that forum isn't the main Juventus forum and is embarrassing even to some of the Juve fans we've had on this thread. Does seem like they are a bunch of tossers (from what I've read in this thread), right enough, but they're not representative of Juve fans.

There's a difference. Our arrogance is flippant. Their arrogance is patronising. I'm not going to let that forum give me a poor opinion of Juve fans. They're so childish. I doubt the Italian forums are so patronising.

It's the same every time with opposite fans on here. I honestly couldn't give a *, I watch Celtic week in and I think I know them pretty well and we know we can beat anybody at home. If fans underestimate Celtic at home then more often than not they leave disappointed. Fans back their team team to the hilt that's why it can come across is arrogant.

Ultimately it's up to the players, fans slating each other won't make an * bit of difference to the game. We can beat anybody at home but Juve are a quality outfit, we can sneak a goal away from home and if it falls right we can go through surely both sets of fans concede that.

I hate the arrogance of every other big club as well :50:

They can think that all they want, we are not in the game of back patting. We want Celtic to wipe the floor with Juve and they want their team to do the same to us.

I came across this: UEFA's official fact sheet for the match. Click on it and a document should download. Some interesting facts about previous fixtures etc http://t.co/e1cKxRKg

One thing I will say is looking at the Juve formation from the 4-3 match ten years ago, the current side is far, far better. That looks, for all intents and purposes, like an injury stricken side with many players out of position nd many reserves in the starting lineup. I obviously have no way of comparing whether the Celtic lineup is better now than it was then, so I'll leave that up to you.
