There are 5 players in this team who, as long as they're playing, I'd give us a chance against absolutely anyone in Europe.

    Forster - A class act
Mulgrew - World class deliveries, any set piece within 40 yards is a genuine threat.
Wanyama - Absolute beast and will go toe to toe with anyone.
Brown - Total leader and his energy is vital.
Samaras - Wildcard and a terrific option in the air and for getting us out of trouble with his ability to carry the ball.

I think we can fill everyone elses position when we've injuries etc (Lustig/Matthews are both excellent, Ledley/Kayal are both good in the middle, beat Barca without Hooper etc) but these 5 will all be so vital on Tuesday and it looks like they'll all start.

Although we beat Barcelona without him, I think it's unfair to leave Gary Hooper off that list.

If we only got one chance on Tuesday night you would want that chance to fall to Gary Hooper because he is our best finisher, by a distance.

I wouldn't even bother posting on there. I think I'm going to stop reading the thread, the ignorance and arrogance on display is nauseating. A bit of respect for the opposition wouldn't go amiss.

Yeah he seems like a strange one. He's a moderator of a Juventus forum and he's not even a fan of the club. In any case, he shows himself up as a fool in his posts.

I reckon Lustig at RB, Matthews at LB with Mulgrew & Wilson in the centre, I have to say after Matthews display against Barca he'd get the nod ahead of Izzy for me.
I do hope that Sammy is fit though, think he could do some damage against Juve.

Maybe tomorrow night, unsettle them a little bit and ensure they don't get much sleep :smiley-laughing002:

Although Matthews performance against Barcelona was very impressive it was due to the fact Messi was cutting in onto his left foot, which would be onto Matthews favoured right foot, it made it a little easier.

Juventus have Lichtsteiner who plays right wing back, he is right footed and will be hitting the bye line. That's the reason I would definitely play Izzy. Although I don't mind either of them playing as I rate them both highly.

I would probably leave Lustig out as he is the only one that lacks pace, which is a strength that alot of the Juve players have.

    I'm absolutely distraught, fellow Tims.

This year, I had to give up my season ticket due to work commitments. Whenever I'm not at work I'll buy a ticket for the game. I've been to a few league games (Aberdeen, Dundee, Motherwell, Ross County, Hibs) and the Champions League games (Helsinki, Helsingborgs, Benfica, Spartak and Barcelona.).

I knew getting a ticket for this game would be a toughy, especially since I no longer have my ST. But, to my surprise, I was offered a ticket in the middle of January from a "friend of a friend". So I forked over my £50 to my friend to collect the ticket in the middle of January and I found out on Friday night that the * had sold my ticket. Absolute raging and gutted that I'm going to miss this.

Needless to say, I got my £50 back.

Will have to get tight to Pirlo. I remember In the Euro's he ran the show in midfield v England cos the English were useless and let him have way too much space. We wont be making that mistake.

It's his urbane and ironic brand of postmodern humour.

We have to keep telling ourselves that. :54:

You can tell most of the posters in that Juventus forum have never been to a football game in their lives.

You continue to talk of Barcelona, Barcelona and Barcelona...

You don't understand that we're Juventus nothing to do with Barcelona. We don't have their players but our type of play is very good..

I've read the Celtic-Barca statistics, well they're incredible, very incredible...

    Only luck can help you...
