The good thing about Wilson is that he is quick across the ground, but i'm like you, i'm not 100% comfy with him. The main thing is, to stay in the tie going into the away game. Although a 0-0 would not be great, it keeps us in with a right good shout. If we can play at a high tempo then we can cause them problems I think. Italian teams record against British sides in recent years is poor. I think this is down to the fact that the British game is played at a much higher pace.

Why the worryabout Wilson. Needs to be in there don't want to see Mulgrew in defence tbh dont know where he fits in. In defence Mulgrew is far too easily turned.

    Wanyama

    Matthews Brown Ledley Mulgrew

    Hooper

Lennon said a few weeks ago that he had no problem playing Ambrose in this game even if Nigeria made the final. Not so sure myself,2 days to get home and rested.

I think he would get him back and re-assess his fitness etc.

Thats it,hope he''ll make it.Ill feel a lot less nervous about this game with himself,Forster and Sammy in the starting 11.I think Sammy will be the biggest doubt of the 3.

I take it there will be a separate thread for during/after the game? This could be the longest match thread ever...

    and 2-2 draw in London.

Why i'm worried before the first match is that whole left flank is missing (Chiellini injured, Asamoah @ACON, Marchisio should be ready to play, but not 100% probably. All three are definite startes) and the fact that Barzagli, Vidal and Caceres have 5 games in twelve days. If they are not rested against Fiorentina and play for their NT. Vast majority of conceded goals in january came from left side of the pitch, where Peluso, Giaccherini, Padoin and Ashton Kutcher have been disasters waiting to happen.

I'm sure Chiellini will be ready to play against Celitc! He wouldn't miss the game for no reason!
And Asamoah will surely be back from Africa cup! Let's just pray that none will get injured and that everyone's will be in top form for the game!

I thought Chiellini has definitely been ruled out for the first game?

He's back for second leg. As for Asamoah, he may come back, but is he ready to play? Same issue as Celtic and Ambrose.

From my view I hope he's not. He's played at Celtic Park before; the less players you have who have experienced it the better.

Chiellini, Pirlo and Buffon are Juventus' most important players for me. If one out of the three are missing that leg it's just peachy. However you do have quality replacements there.

What do you think the most likely line up will be?

Very much in agreement with using Matthews on the right wing in front of Lustig, he has great pace and it will allow either of them to get forward and support the strikers. If one goes the other stays and vice versa.

Same with Mulgrew and Izzy on the other side, although if Sammy plays Izzy might be a little bit more exposed and i would be afraid of Liechstiner(sp) running him ragged because i feel Izzy positionally will get caught out especially against Juve's right wing backs who have great movement and a lot of pace.

Goalie and back three are set. Gigi, Barzagli, Bonucci and Caceres. The latter has been quite good replacement for Chiellini. Lichtsteiner is going to start for sure as RWB. As for left wingback.. De Ceglie is way too mediocre, Peluso apart for one goal hasn't shown anything promising. Giaccherini is most frustrating player i have ever watched. There are also Padoin and Isla, who hasn't performed this year. Had major knee injury, and missed about 7 months. *, might as well play Asamoah straight off the plane. Can't be worse. It's anybodys guess.

Midfield trio is most likely Vidal, Pirlo and Marchisio, if he'll be ready. If not, then Pogba. Vidal and Pirlo could use a rest against Fiorentina, but 99% sure they'll start against Celtic.

Vucinic will be upfront, partnered by most likely Giovinco. Gio has also fitness issues, but there is week to go. If not then Matri has 4 goals in his last four matches.

to sum up, in my opinion Juve will use somthing like: Buffon; Barzagli, Bonucci, Caceres; Lichtsteiner, Vidal, Pirlo, Marchisio (Pogba), someone; Vucinic, Giovinco (Matri)

Wanyama was suspended for the last group game against Spartak. He is not suspended for this game though.

Let's be honest, that was a Chelsea side in turmoil near enough. I'm not saying that it wasn't a demolition job, because that is exactly what it was, but for as good as Juve were, Chelsea were equally as bad.
