I think broardly the people that have been disappointed fall into two categories.

1 Those that for either financial or Geographical reasons can't get to enough games to justify buying a season ticket.

Everyone's situation is different but I suggested in an earlier thread that someone join a supporters club as they may be able to get tickets through them if they make enough games during the season. I have also known a few people over the years in England that have clubbed together to buy season tickets. Ie they both pay for half of the ticket and use it alternate weeks or whatever suits.

The second group is people who don't want to go to SPL games but want to go to the big games and to be perfectly honest I have little sympathy for them.Bollocks to 'em.

I'm one of these guys :smiley-laughing002:

I would love to go to this game, but I can freely admit I don't deserve one if I'm not prepared to fork-out for the bread and butter.

According to this we start in the second round. Does that mean we have one more qualifying round than this season ?( I am of course here assuming we are going to win the league.)

Unless of course we win it in which case we go straight into the groups.

Yes you will, I'll be there moaning about not getting a Juve ticket!

Been at 4 home SPL games, cup game, 3 away games and all CL & qualifiers. But I'm not even given the chance for Juve game because season ticket holders get to take their 5 mates. :31:

Such a flawed system. "Reward season ticket holders by letting them buy multiple tickets for their friends.". :31:

I am now thinking about getting a ST next season though, even though I won't be able to make every game. So well done Celtic I guess.

Nothing wrong with season ticket holders getting 2 more tickets, this will keep nearly all of them renewing there tickets now, plus others getting tickets. Im sure theres a few season ticket holders who will have a spare ticket near the game for sale.

Really does annoy me that some "fans" couldn't care less about actually watching the team let alone buying a ticket to a match unless we're playing in the champions league. like others have said, I doubt there willl be any complaints about tickets tomorrow when there's about 20 thousand empty seats, if you want to guarentee a ticket to the big games then mabye you should think about backing the team in the SPL. Not just when it suits you.

Just to add that for all the people who can't attend for financial/practical reasons I do understand the fruastrations especially when there are touts selling them for ludicrous prices already but some folk just simply can't be arsed.

Correct. An extra qualifying round to navigate.

On one hand, the 2nd qualifying round should be a formality, two easy wins and easy helping for the coefficient.

On the other hand, it'll mean our first competitive fixture next season will be mid-July, which is good for the fans but maybe not so good for the playing staff.

This must surely be the first time a club in the last 16 has to navigate 3 qualifiers the next season.

But of course non of this matters, as we will win the champions league this season and qualify directly for the group stage!

I don't like the system of allowing season ticket holders to get extra tickets. I fully accept season ticket holders being given the opportunity to buy themselves a ticket for a big game before anybody else but that's where it should stop in my view.

There are plenty of Celtic fans who simply cannot afford a season ticket just now or who live too far away from Celtic Park to justify buying a season ticket. I think it's pretty * that, by implementing the current system, the club are basically depriving these people of an opportunity to attend big matches.

    Celtic have got this wrong.

Tomorrow's attendance is irrelevant. Should a season ticket holder who doesn't attend tomorrow's game forfeit their right to a ticket for the Juventus game?

I think giving season ticket holders special treatment is quite good of Celtic.

And I had to give up my ticket this season as well.

They already receive special treatment by being guaranteed the chance to buy themselves a ticket before anybody else gets a chance.

Giving them extra tickets is a step too far in my view.

But many people I've talked to this year have said they gave theirs up because there is no loner a need for once since the death of Rangers. Surely, This proves them wrong as only season ticket holders purchased tickets for friends, family etc. Hopefully, missingout on games like this will encourage a few more to buy season tickets next year if they can afford it.

Also, I don't think Celtic have got this wrong at all. It's notgreat for those who have been priced out of the game but you cant please everyone when demand a is so high and if you're truly skint then £49 for a midweek game surely isn't a good idea?
