The club gave ST holders up to 6 yes SIX tickets and many none season ticket holders never stood a chance, not the celtic way imo.

Many cant afford season tics now for many reasons, but hey * them as long as the folk with money are sorted, just hope the atmo isnt pish with all the glory hunters.

If anything the glory hunters would be the ones without season tickets who just wanted to go to the Champions League games.

Like I said if they so much wanted to go to Celtic games, then now instead of £49 for the Juventus game they could go to two games for that price £15 for the Cup Semi and £26 for the Dundee Utd home game, only £41 for 2 games if they are struggling for money and want to go to the football.

I don't have money & struggle to buy my ST every year & you are the one that is coming across as a glory hunter.

It was still 2 tickets per ST but 6 tickets per person. So 3 ST's 6 tickets

It seems all these people that dont have any money have found £49 from somewhere.

I heard a guy on the radio saying some people are unemployed & can't afford a season ticket, If i was unemployed i wouldn't be able to buy the £49 ticket

Quite * off i didn't get a ticket tbh, and I'm not accepting this * that non-season ticket holders are not as loyal supporters as ST holders.

Living in Moray it is very difficult to find time and the money to travel down to Glasgow at the weekends. A season ticket at £500 plus a £60 train fare everytime you go down? I just can't afford to fork out that kind of money.

I try and go to the games I CAN make but usually just watch on tv or on a stream as we can't afford ESPN either! Occasionally me and my cousin or me and my dad will drive down the 8 hour round trip to see an hour and half of football and ofcourse it's obviously worth the time and money but it's not something we can feasibly do every second weekend.

I try to get tickets everytime Celtic are up in Aberdeen, Inverness and now Ross County and usually this is quite easy yet still reasonably expensive. I buy the shirt every year, a program when I'm down and I'm on this site most nights now. I bought the three match package for the champions league because I thought, "This will be a great experience, I'll travel there and back on the same day, midweek, spend £105 or whatever it was and it'll be my first experience of champions league football." Now that we're through, I was desperate to go back and as soon as I get enough money, to be a ST holder.

I think it's totally unfair to say we're not as worthy or not as loyal - you don't know what some people's circumstances are. I don't travel down to see us play dundee at home or St. Mirren because I can see at home for free. I'm not a glory hunter, It's just impossible financially for me to go every week, sorry if that makes me 'less of fan'.

Nobody is saying they are, its just first come first served and the people going the most get to get tickets first which is fair enough.

A lot of season ticket holders would like to go to more away games too but cant because other fans who go to most/all the away games always get all the tickets which again is fair enough as theyre always going.

I can't afford to go to home & away games but never complained when i couldn't get a ticket against Oldco at the shitpit.

I just went to the pub & watched it.

I have only ever been to the shitpit once & that was when we played Dundee UTD in the cup when Celtic park was getting rebuilt & home was Hampden

What I'm complaining about is that people are saying 'they go to every game so they deserve all the tickets'

I can't afford to go to everygame, I would * love to! And yeah, ST holders should obviously be guranteed a ticket, perhaps even 2 but 3?! I just think it's unfair on the fans who follow their club week in week out and when a once in a life time game like this comes up, we have absolutely no chance of getting a ticket.

I know I'll get a season ticket in the future, I just don't have the money. I'd be willing to make a big sacrifice to go to this game because they don't come around very often, but I literally have no chance of getting a ticket! :38:

I dont really understand the logic. If people cannot afford season tickets it is probably not the best idea for them to spend £150 on 4 games (assuming they went to the other champions leagues games). As people have pointed out, they can save that £50 and put it towards going to 2 games where they will get tickets quite easily.

Celtic do not make any extra money by looking after season ticket holders. They do it because it is season ticket holder who are the guys who go week in week out. We only have 60000 seats and if 80000 people want to go and watch a game there will always be disappointed people.

    Exactly :50:

It has generally always been like that though, season ticket holders get preference for the champions league games. Its one of the benefits of being a season ticket holder.

Unfortunately for fans strapped for cash or geographically find it difficult to travel for every home game they are going to miss out on these opportunities.

You have 40,000 season ticket holders, so there goes 2/3 of all available tickets, you then have uefa and away fans which will take up at least another 3-5000, so you then have 10-15,000 available tickets. Season ticket holders would then want to bring their wife/husband/son/daughter/friend whatever so only a handful of season ticket holders will actually be able to get an extra ticket let alone 6.

So you can see that there simply isn't the capacity to allow tickets to go beyond season ticket holders for a game like this.

I think that anyone who took the package for the three games should have been given the option of a ticket after ST holders had got theirs. I dont see the need for ST holders to be given the chance of more tickets they've only got one * like everybody else.

End of the day there were always gonna be tonnes of dissapointed people, me being one of them, but that's life. Celtic Park could be 300 thousand capacity for this game and there would still be many people left out.

celtic say first come first served but whos to say the other two tickets bought by season ticket holder were not given to people who most likely dont go to all the games and didnt have a three match package seems pretty unfair to be honest handled the wrong way if you ask me wonder whos idea it was

    Correct.

It's a complete joke what has happened.

Fair enough, ST holders should obviously get first dibs on their ticket and maybe one more.

It makes no sense that a ST holder's 5 (FIVE) mates get priority over folk who bought tickets for both qualifier games and the group stage package.

The only kind of (twisted) logic behind this would be to get more folk to buy ST's next season (even if they can't make every home game, like myself and many others).

I don't get the idea of giving season ticket holders extra tickets to be honest. Completely understand they get priority for their seat, because it's their seat, but not sure why they get extra. I guess it's just a perk, but i think being guaranteed A seat for a game like this should be enough of a perk seeing as they'd have a season ticket whether we had made it this far or not.
