It is true. Juve didn't concede more than one goal in a league game between the 3-3 vs Napoli in November 2011 and the 3-1 loss to Inter in November 2012. Not quite 12 months, but a good 11 and a half!

That refers to league matches, because there were also the matches against Napoli in the Coppa Italia and Italian Supercup and the 2-2 against Chelsea.

As for Buffon, he may not have been nicknamed the great wall, but in Italy he's often referred to as "the Maradona of goalkeepers". Not a bad nickname to have.

    Bring them on.

Only thing I'm worried about is getting a draw at parkead then having to go over there and get a result.

Juve have been out of the frame in the last few years building up a team ,Now they have one and they are a good solid side .

Celtic will go at them at Parkhead but Juve don't let many goals in so a hard night ahead ,but i would be happy with a 1-0 to take to Turin.

Celtic can play away from home now and this will worry Juve.

Sorry, Barca and Juve play a similar setup, but Barca have different players, who are more technical on the ball, but the system is not that far away from Barca's, 3 at the back, a guy walking the ball into midfield, an extra man in midfield, 2 wingers and a striker who is good in midfield.

Obviously it looks different, because Barca are technically more gifted and Barca never play the high ball, but the system isn't that far away from Barca's.

In our last 5 away games in europe the Tic have scored nine goals scoring in every leg,in our home ties we have won four and drew one beating the mighty Barcelona on the way.If we can hold this form we will be a difficult proposition for anyone.

I can understand the frustrations of foreign fans. They see Celtic fans being confident, mistake it for arrogance or ignorance, and are perplexed.
"How can Celtic be so confident when they have a poorer squad and smaller budget than us? They are not as technically proficient and cannot keep the ball uninterrupted for 37 minutes-straight, why are they happy??"

Well, it just can't be explained. But, like almost every single other team, Juventus will come to Celtic Park as huge favourites with the superior players and they will go home a beaten team.

    That's just what happens.

No matter what happens, nobody on this forum, in their wildest dreams, would have expected us to get this far at the beginning of the season. When the group was drawn and we were lumped in with Barcelona and Benfica, we were written off right away (see ITV Football).

We have already exceeded expectations and there will be no shame in losing to Juventus and crashing out at their expense, if it happens. They could go on to win it. That's not to say it will happen. I believe we can beat them at home and get a draw away if we defend as well as we did against Barcelona, but if it doesn't happen, then it has already been a hugely successful European campaign.

If this game was next week and we where injury free id play this team.

    :Forster:
    :Lustig: :Ambrose: :Wilson: :Izaguirre:
    :Brown: :Wanyama: :Mulgrew:
    :Forrest: ------------------------------------- :Samaras:
    :Hooper:

With Kayal and Lassad certainties to come on for Brown and Sameras when they get tired.

    Forster

    Lustig Ambrose Wilson Matthews

    Wanyama

    Brown Ledley Mulgrew Samaras

    Hooper

    Subs:

    Zaluska.
    Stokes.
    Kayal.
    Rogne.
    Commons.
    Lassad.
    Forrest.

I'd definitely play something like that, maybe with the formation tweaked a little bit. That's probably the strongest starting XI we have though. Obviously this does not take into account any signings we may or may not make in January.

Ambrose on the bench? He was sensational throughout the group stages.

I would always have Ambrose and Wilson as the central defensive pairing in Europe now. They have formed a great partnership and that's due mainly to the consistency in Lenny's team selections, something he has improved upon big time compared to his first season in charge.

Mulgrew has to play for his corners and free kicks and i dont like him in midfield, prefer him at CB, and obviously Wilson has been brilliant so its Wilson and Mulgrew for me.

Please don't judge over 14 million italian fans because of one not-italian "fan"... in our main board I've seen a lot of respect for you.. of course also a few idiots, but I believe that they are scattered worldwide.
one thing is thinking of having the best chances, another is being desregarding and rude, which most of us aren't.
Also, it's really a shame that a lot of you think we have a history of match fixing. there's so much to say about the topic, most people don't know that in court(so it's official, not something we pretend to be true) we were released from those charges(in fact our president hopes to get the stolen titles back), and the punishment was for other things that was proven that were done by every team in the league.
but I didn't come here to talk about that, since it's your home I don't want to desrespect you all, so let's just look forward to our clash. hoping that the better side will win!

I agree with most of those team selections except from I think matthews at left back would get found out by Juve. Would prob just stick to Izaguirre and then tough decision between choosing between Lustig and Matthews for right back.
