We have Juventus in the last 16 of the Champions League, my son has already seen Iniesta, Xavi, and Messi and now he gets to see the likes of Pirlo, Marchisio, and Arturo Vidal..

So far this season we have exceeded even our own expectations so surely everything else is just gravy. :)

well yes kind of. Nedved said he was relieved we did not pick Real Madrid, but that Celtic are a very good side and we need to be on top of our game or we'll go through pretty scary moments especially at Celtic Park.

Antonio Conte dismissed any premature optimism and said Celtic are a very good side, with great payers like Samaras and Commons. He said we will get to this important games full of enthusiasm, with the greatest respect for the scottish side, with the firm intention to do our best to progress in this tournament.

I think it's an excellent draw for us. I appreciate that Juventus are a terrific side, but I am happier getting them than a more direct opponent; Bayern, Dortmund, United. I think they will be quite negative which will suit us, their usual counter attacking football won't be as effective against us, so we really have an excellent shout. We have been absolutely deadly from set pieces and I see that continuing through both of these legs.

I haven't read all of the 35 pages. probably read the first 6 pages then commented, but my * people need to keep their wee y-fronts on man! Talking about Turin as if it's Juarez, Mexico. We will be fine! I have been to a few games in Turin and it was just a nice, normal city. Anyway, I will be there :D Cannot wait!

uhm under Antonio Conte Juve do not really play counter attacking football, to be honest.

Absolutely, very diplomatic indeed, trying to fill their 30 sec interview slot.

And no, you cannot afford to underestimate anyone at this level! :smiley-laughing002:

Realistically, I thought we had no chance of beating Barcelona home or away, so who knows. We've defied all expectations this season already, we might as well continue to do so.

We'd need a fair bit of luck and Forster would have to stand on his head, but that's nothing new.

Of course we can. It's unlikely. I think we can do it though.

Truly great things happen when we are underdogs. We are underdogs here...I like that.

I would've preferred a more direct attacking side that we could sit back, defend, and counter-attack with runs and set-pieces. We may have a lot of difficulty breaking them down, we'll just have to out-muscle them in the air.

This feels like it could be Wanyama's greatest game.

It could have been much worse but if we can win at home and sneak an away draw!

Thinking about this and i think yes. 2 main points here.

By mid February March we should be well ahead in the league on course for two in a row, where as Juventus will be in a dogfight in Serie A for the title.

They have Rapid and quality players that is true, but we have strength and height once again here.

The only thing apart from the obvious class they have that worries me is the whole italian style of play.
Lets not kid ourself, italian teams are notorious for being diving * and to con the ref.

Our team need to be strong and wary and we will make it.

Juventus does not play negative football. We average 19.3 shots per game, and the only team to better than average is Real Madrid, with 19.8. We also have the second most goals scored in the Serie A, with 36.

Inter are having a good season too though. Just hit a slight rough patch. I don't think juve will run away with Serie A although they'll probably win it by 3 or 4 points.
