UCL Last 16: Celtic v Juventus Chat

Why are the fans arguing? One semi-negative comment and it turns into a war of words with each other? It's lame.

Our clubs don't have any bad history between us. Just 2 famous sides with great European pedigrees going head to head, will be a * top tie. Looking forward to seeing the famous Old Lady again.

 

Would have loved to go to italy, but I guess its pretty expensive down there?

 

Yes we can. Juve might be the best in Italy but Italian football isn't what it used to be. I reckon we will win at CP by a goal and that will give us something to fight for over there. I'd still back us to offer a very serious threat at set pieces, get Chico to show Pirlo how its done.

Arsenal have no chance, Bayern will walk all over them. Utd v Madrid will be very interesting. Madrid are better on paper but you can never rule out Utd or Fergie.

What will actually happen there is Wanyama will come and deck Pirlo, end of threat.

 

This is going to be tough. Tougher than Barcelona perhaps. Barcelona are ropey at the back and conceded a couple of goals to us from set pieces, I'm pretty sure we'll find that Juventus are better at defending set pieces than Barcelona are. So scoring will be an issue for us in this tie.

We have nothing to lose now that we've come this far so we can just go out there and give it our best shot. Anything is possible................

 

If i was a betting man, and was being completely objective, and i am, i would give Celtic about a 1 in 10-12 chance of going through!
So, given that i wouldnt bet on Celtic to lose, i think the general odds of about 4/1 on us qualifying are *!Id be looking for at least 8/1.

I can definitely see us getting through. We beat Barca, so why not? Win by a goal or two at CP and hold out over there. This is by far the easiest last 16 draw we've ever had, and we were unlucky in the previous two. Time to go one further this time.
