Good solid performance today. With a bit more luck we could've had a few more.

That's more like it. Someone earlier heard on Radio Snyde that they said 30k which is clearly bullshit.

Did Clyde 1 actually say there was 30 thousand at the game:97:? Or was it not completely serious?

Comfortable win. Never in any danger from what was a really poor St Mirren display who played a back 6 for the majority of the game. We could and should have scored more, agree with Lenny and his after match comments about not being clinical enough.

Pleased to see the centre-halfs being more proactive in starting attacks (Ambrose and Lustig especially), makes a big difference when teams play like St Mirren.

The ref as per was rotten, 2 very good penalty shouts and heard Broony`s header was in. Hooper got ragged when going through on goal and Murray waved play-on, was a particular highlight of incompetence from Callum Murray. Along with his unwillingness to book Dougie Imrie for two stick on bookings.

Back to St Mirren; was looking forward to seeing some decent football from them and in particular the boy McGinn (who looked impressive last week). However the negative approach seen to this.

Why did loads of people shine their phone lights in the second half?

Is it just me or have St Mirren went from being a decent wee team last year to being a total pub team this season? Hasselbank was replaced by Sam Parkin for example.

Symbolically (and actually) videoing the cops who were videoing the Green Brigade. Is the reason they were protesting today because The Roll of Honour has been banned (as well as the bill ?

    Edit,here it is:

It has now become apparent that the Police are now arresting and charging Celtic supporters for singing “The Roll of Honour” I believe that a lot of Celtic supporters didn’t know that this particular song has been deemed offensive under the new Offensive Behaviour at Football Scotland Bill.

It would appear that the directive has come from the Lord Advocate Frank Mullholland to the various Procurator Fiscal’s and Police Forces throughout Scotland, several supporters have already been charged, and most have said they didn’t know the song came under the new bill.

I don’t profess to know why the song has been deemed to be offensive, since the song only tells of ten young men who gave their lives in the fight for freedom for their country. But until it is challenged in a court of law, supporters singing it run the risk of arrest, and appearing in court. Far be it from us to do the Police's job for them, but supporters should know what rules they are playing under.

If any supporter is arrested and charged for singing the RoH, or indeed The Boys of the Old Brigade, they should fill out the form on our site and report it to FAC at the earliest opportunity at fansagainstcriminalisation@gmail.com

On another issue. I thought that after the appeal from the Disabled Celtic Supporters Association we might have seen the last of the pyrotechnics at our matches, but we had a few incidents on Wednesday night at Arbroath.

We have a fair number of senior supporters who travel regularly to away matches, a lot of them would have spent their working lives in the Shipyards and down the Mines, and therefore would have respiratory problems, these smoking devices can cause them serious problems, they need to stop.

Comfortable win but we should be putting more goals away and it's a problem we've had for a number of weeks now. Need to be more clinical in front of goal especially since St. Mirren's defending was atrocious in the first half.

Still, a win is a win and it was a very good performance.

Thought we had a pretty decent crowd today as well. :50:

Brilliant idea, filming the cops :50:
They must be absolutely livid and it's the best way to get them, just be really nice and polite and make them get angry. When they flip out, we'll have it all on tape :50:

Disgusting if this is true. I would have thought it would have made the papers if our fans are being charged for singing Roll of Honour although I do remember a mate telling me months ago he knew someone from his town that had been lifted for it. I'd be interested to know which game(s) the arrests relate to and how the police hand-picked individuals to lift given the number of supporters that join in with the song. Since the bill came in, I've spoken quite frequently to various people about RoH and whether they thought it was one of the songs the police are likely to arrest you for singing and the general consensus was that it didn't fall under the bill. If it is true, I sincerely hope anyone that's been charged for singing it takes it all the way, it's an absolute joke. It would be good to see FAC contacting the relevant people to obtain a list of these "offensive" songs so we all know exactly where we stand. As much as I feel I should have the right to sing any songs relating to those who died fighting for their countries freedom, I certainly don't want the hassle of being charged and dragged up to court for it. Really can't believe it's came to this.:54:

Maybe it deserves a thread of its own?If someone wants to make one,or is there already an exsisting thread discussing the criminalisation of football fans?

Best not, just usually ends up the usual people arguing with the same usual people about defending "IRA PArty" songs as they've been described as in the past.

    Haven't the energy for it.

Most enjoyable SPL Home game of the season for me. Happy with the performance, totally dominated. Was cool to see all the fans shining the lights on the *.
