Lars isn't a * drummer but he's not the best either, not enough double bass for me. He is without a doubt a total * though. Still, nowhere near as big a * as their old touring buddy and slagging mate Axel Rose.

When people listen to music they have instruments that stand out for them. For me it's rhythm guitar and Jim Hetfield and the Hamster are tight as * and they have written some of the best if not the best riffs on the planet IMO.

Drums don't excite me tOO much but I tell you who's drumming I love. Neil Peart of Rush. Quality drummer.

Bass, I've always had a problem distinguishing bass from the heavy riffs of metal. With TallicA i don't really have a problem with Kill Em All but after than I do struggle and with a lot of other bands. Could be my hearing, which is fine just not great with bass. My tinitus reacts when a plane flies overhead lol

I think they should either drastically change their style or split up. I hate to say it coz the big man is a hero of mine but Jim's voice is getting really bad for a metal band live. Been on the down since early 2000s.

I don't think this is them to be honest, does sound like James until he goes for it a wee bit, doesn't sound like him at that point unless they've tweaked it with computers. If it is them then I'll be happy with the new sound, big time. Great song whoever it is. If it's not them then it's the best fake James I've heard.

You're not wrong about Neil Peart - one of the best ever.

Chris Slade was a * hot drummer in his day :50:

Metallica is one of my top 3 bands, but when it comes to guitar no one, and i mean no one is even a fraction as good as Angus Young :50:

btw here is one of the best openings of a gig ever

The live in San Diego is the best i've seen this far. thank * they only play about 4 songs of the black album). Not interested in them anymore since the black album. Wish they never kicked out Jason too tbh.

Best album: Tie between Master and Justice
Most underrated album: Justice. * production, but amazing songs.
Best Metallica cover band: Hammer Of Justice (amazing local band!) :icon_mrgreen:

I haven't really dug any of their cds since the Black album came out and even when they started replaying a lot of oldies and goodies live wise, it just isn't the same once James kicks in with his current vocal style.
