Had a beer with a hotel manager in london a few years back. He said a lot of away teams stayed there when they played Chelsea. I asked him who were the good guys. He replied most of them, but alan pardew is the most arrogant person he has ever met. True story!

A clean sheet (along with a 0-4 pumping) against the team that deemed him not good enough, can't do much more Fraser Forster. Well in.

    Sacking imminent. :icon_mrgreen:

Only bad thing is that once he's sacked, we won't get to laugh at him and I can't honestly see him getting a Premier League club any time in the near future given most of the jobs are at the moment pretty safe.

Pardew is the only manager in danger of the sack, maybe Alan Irvine if WBA continue to be *, Sean Dyche will be safe for the season even if Burnley struggle

Apparently Ashley wants Steve Bruce and Alan Shearer to take over. Would take that, love Steve Bruce!

No way Steve Bruce would leave a solid job at Hull for the pressure cooker of Newcastle

No chance of Brucie jumping ship. One of the massive problems about Newcastle, is that their fan-base expect much more than what they can achieve realistically, which is why its such a precarious position being the Newcastle manager.

I think Bruce would take it. A lot of uncertainty at 'ull at the minute as well

Aye they've gotta be one of the most deluded fanbases out there, small club in the grand scheme of things, 1 team city have never been any sort of force in European football yet they always seem to think they deserve top 8 as a birthright.

They won't get any better than Pardew so I don't know why the gypsies are moaning so hard.

    1-0 Hull.
    Bye, bye Pardew.
Edit: 2-0, Mo Diame kills Pardew.

Is Pardew not on about a 8 year contract?

he'll be laughing all the way to the bank when he gets sacked :smiley-laughing002:

Aye, but I've heard his contract has a clause whereby if he's removed then he gets offloaded as if he's only got a year on his contract (i.e. a one-year severance pay).

Still laughing to the bank, but not 8 years worth of pay.

There's a clause, but giving him an 8 year contract was verging on insanity on the part of Ashley. Will still be a decent wee pay off when he's inevitably sacked though.

    Aye, 8 years; madness. :smiley-laughing002:

Dunno what was wrong with just giving him 3 or 4 years which would've been more than a lot of managers get these days (often just 1 or 2 year rolling contracts). Can only guess it was a publicity stunt to convey stability as he went through a few managers in I think a fairly short space of time before employing Pardew (Hughton, Kinnear, Shearer).

I've heard that he owes money to Ashley and is on some dubious contract that's how he's no sacked him. I imagine his pay will be docked ect after every game. Probs why he doesn't give a * about results.
