This is the point i'm trying to make, the away days seem OK in general, but the home form is a worry, i see it as a poor atmo doesnt help and sometimes we shouldnt just sit and expect the team to entertain us without a bit of help from us.

Thats not having a go at any celtic fan, even if some totally missunderstand the point.

Macca scored a bunch of goals that day in '93 I heard. I'd love to have a young fit Macca in our squad right now.

If only one paying fan went to watch Celtic, the players should still give 100%.

I think NL had good intentions. Get some young players and fringe players in to get some experience and see what they can do in a pretty important game. Also rest our big guns so they are ready to go on Wednesday. But unfortunately I think that Arbroath came here ready to give us a game. For a lot of these diddy clubs the cups are really the only competitions in which they have any real chance of competing. They were playing for honour and they were playing hard. We needed to field a stronger 11, its that simple. But all is not lost. We have the replay. This result wasnt the fault of our strongest 11. Relax.

Yes i agree and that goes for any other team the world over.

The players are not up for it at home games unless its a massive match like Barca etc... But you could also say that about the fans, in some games the fans are right up for it but in other less so.

But thats human nature at CP these days.

And again thats not having a go at anyone in particular.
    ------------------------------------------------------

A quote i made in the Spartak thread -

    My prediction -

The fans make loads of noise, the players come on to a game and the support urge the bhoys in green to claim a famous win.

    After match comments -

Lenny - We could never of done it without the fantastic support we got tonight.

Players - This is what its all about, playing for the Celtic and winning games with the help of the fans.

Does this make the point i'm trying to make any clearer, i'm not having a go at anyone in general, its just my observation of how i see it.

To me there seems to be a real attitude problem at home.

It's almost like the players think they just need to turn up to win.

No real effort is being put in, there's no urgency about our play. It seems to me like the majority of them are treating it as a training session.
