    on one hand, its an embarrassing result, rangers fans will laugh it up, should of won.
    on the other hand, were on the verge of the last 16. were still top of the league (i think?)
    and we will beat Arbroath away from home..

    I think as soon as we get as far as we can in Europe, main focus returns to spl football.
    Would u rather be sitting 2nd in the SPL til around January, while in the last 8 of the Champions League..
    or be sitting 1st by 10 points and out in the group stages..

    Yeah we should be able to do both, But its all new to the team, if we kept this team together for next season i believe we could do both

    I just don't understand how we can have such clinical, lethal finishing against Hearts and then play a game where we create four times as many chances and fail to score.

    I'm not picky.
    But it's happening too much this season about "not being their day".

    And I said in a later post that normally I would be looking on the positives and saying that it was just another bad day at the office but it's happening too many times this season. We are creating chances but not scoring. Even the goal today for us was an own goal.

    The team that was put out by Lennon should have STILL got the job done.

    Was extremely poor and if players are wanting to make an impression on Lennon and fight for a place then it looks like the majority of them failed big time today.

    Bolded the players who were actually missing for you. Of the 5 remaining players, 3 started, 2 played 90 minutes. And there's no guarantee Matthews will play on Wednesday.

    No doubt, but I'm just giving my view on why we can't break teams down. It is a difficult one. To succeed in Europe, we have to be counter-attacking becuase we lack the funds to have an outright attacking, flowing team but this sort of set-up will hurt us in the SPL and Scotland as we will lack the players to break down 11 players behind the ball.

    Irrespective of who was playing today we should have been good enough to win this comfortably. The same can be said for every home league game where we've dropped points.

    I hope we do get into the last 16 on Wednesday or the pressure is going to be mounting fast.

    Very little will change from today's team. Whatever the reasons are for our drop in form, we can't wave a magic wand and have another XI players appear, because we were only missing a few players today. 2 were missing from injury and only 1 of those (Forrest) is a starter.

    We need to face mid-week's challenge and others in the days to come with the squad we currently have. We have next to no squad depth. This is a myth.
