Crazy that Miku and Lassad didn't get a run. Top quality guys when we're desperately short in almost all areas.

Smith got them to the UEFA Cup final by sticking ten men behind the ball in every European game that they played and then won the semi final on penalties, which is really just a game of luck.

O'Neill's run to Seville included having to dispose of teams such as Liverpool (2-0 at Anfield), Blackburn (2-0 at Ewood), Celta Vigo, Stuttgart and Boavista. Only an idiot would fail to spot the differences.

Watty was a great manager for rangers no denying it. Was a great achievement for them to get there the football they played was * but they played to their strengths.

To say getting a team to a european final isn't an achievement is daft

Shaun - the UEFA Cup is a micky mouse cup to all of the big clubs in Europe. Even Midlesboro got to the final. Last 16 of Champions league is a bigger achievement in my view. O'Neill & Ole Wally NEVER got to the last 16

Rotation is a must when your team is running in 4 competitions. Injuries haven't been kind to us either. Still, poor form is poor form.

Chelsea and Man City could both potentially be playing in the Europa League after the next round of CL games. Will you still be calling it a 'mickey mouse' cup then, when two of the supposed biggest clubs in England will be competing for the trophy?

It's not as prestigious now as it was when Celtic where in it. But Just look at the quality of teams we played in the run up to the final.

And then coming so close to beating Porto in the final, a team that used the same players to win the Champions League the year after.

This forum has been unanimous on this for weeks if not months yet the same starting XI have started again and again and probably will again as well.

People having a go at Martin O'Neill, Strachan spent more in his 4 years than O'Neill in his 5. Also, have a look at how good Rangers were at the time, the likes of the De Boers and Arteta, Klos and yer Van Bronchorsts. They were 10 times the team that they have been in the past 8 years or so. So we had to spend more, even the likes of Aberdeen and Dundee had stronger sides back then, largely due to imports but still. Anyway that was in the past and we have to deal with today, I just the players attitudes are bang out of order, thinking we can just show up and win games, I would give more of the young guys a game for sure, at least they would give 110%.

It's only a mickey mouse cup because bafoons like you brand it that. Say we finish 3rd in our CL group and then progress to the Europa League final would you not see that as progress or a great achievement?

Just out of curiosity, did you have the same opinion as you do now about the UEFA cup in the run up to Seville? I'd bet my left bawsack that you didn't.

Candystripe Bhoy - 100% correct. The management team must be the only ones not to see this

    This is it.

The fact he didn't want to rotate, I can take - that's a strategic opinion.

But the fact that it fails time and time again, and you keep doing it, suggests a failure to adapt and learn - which is a more serious problem.

If we get the final of the UEFA Cup this year it would be a MASSIVE achievement with the current squad. We only have spent a fraction of the money that O'Neill spent back in 2003. I hope we don't be in the UEFA Cup as I want us to qualify to the last 16 of the BIG league.

    Good luck

Wrong team selection, wrong tactics, wrong substitutes and wrong gameplan from start to finish.

A complete and utter head scratcher, we have a massive squad and the same players who are running on empty are playing week in and week out.

Me too. Best excuse I can think is that the CL is the priority.

So as long as we keep doing well in the Euro games, Lenny figures the extra SPL match time is keeping the players' touch in.

But if we fail to make the knockout stage, he's going to start copping some serious flak for the SPL situation...

People calling for the manager's head is mental but I think the criticism, especially after today, is justifiable.

If you take the plaudits for Europe then he has to be able to take stick for the SPL form. Of course I believe he'll get us out of this, we've been in worse positions after all.

But the home form and attitude in the SPL is absolutely stinking at the minute.

I know this is not directed at me, but Miku for Commons would have made more sense than Brown for Watt.

What was he thinking of, taking off one of our main goal threats and best young talents and replacing him with a broken down midfielder who is in need of surgery?! It defies all logic and belief.
