Are people forgetting that at this point last season we had just overtaken motherwell in the league and were sitting four points off the top. We then went 15 points behind before going on a 21 game unbeaten run and winning the championship by 20 points. Don't * yourselves yet...

    Pure pish

    Forster done ok
Lustig played quite well should have scored, done his best and got forward well
Ambrose played well too I thought, should actually be more greedy and go on more runs and take on more players - nocunt else is
    Mulgrew ok
Matthews shitebag scared to cross the halfway line needs a boot up the *
Commons poor perfromance but was trying
Kayal looked close to his best battled away, took guys on done his best but was let down by others playing * or not turning up
    Wanyama done ok
Samaras culd have worn slippers he done so little, looked like he wished he was in a hot bath washing his hair
    Hooper poor performance
    Watt poor too

McCourt livened it up a wee bit with the odd run, unlucky with a shot. For me should have started, we need players who will run with the ball even if they dont play well or lose the ball we just need players who will push teams back and allow us to come forward.

Seeing Brown come off the bench drove me up the wall. If wanted another MF, bring on McGeouch, or put on Miku up front and move Lassad to the wing (or play 3 up front).

Feel sorry for the people who have season tickets this year, every SPL game has been pish.

We were playing with the drive of losing the league then to our most bitter rival. Not any more. This insipid pish needs to be sorted. We're top with a game in hand and I know that's good when you consider our form, but what you must also consider is that this means the other teams must be REALLY pish, and also means we're (domestically) for the moment on an even keel with your Motherwells, your Dundee Utd - in terms of grabbing for this SPL.

Lennon must act and drop bigger name players for these games, to liven it up > he has the European excuse lined up for even after Christmas.

I fail to see why he doesn't do this. Perhaps just naive?

We need players to go looking for the ball in central midfield, players who can go past a player and pull defenders out of their holding position. We're getting outnumbered in no man's land between defense and midfield and players are panicking when they get closed down too quickly and just playing the ball out wide or backwards.

It's boring watching the play-makers playing in areas that can't hurt teams, out wide or too deep.

We need guys who can go past a player and draw fouls and get players to make mistakes and get themselves booked, setup goals and score them.

I'd like to see us attack straight through the middle of the pitch and it might be worth seeing if Ambrose can play midfield.

    4-5-1

It's high time we rolled out a team with all the attacking midfielders, they are the guys we want to see, Ibrahim, McGeough and McCourt. Add Wanyama and Kayal and theirs a really scary proposition to deal with.

We'd be as well having the extra man in midfield than Hooper walking about like a lost chicken and Commons, waiting for the ball out wide, where he isn't dangerous.

Clearly, with Broony not going for his operation, the plan is to change nothing. It'll be the same team every week, and if i was Miku sitting watching Hooper do less work than the linesman, i'd be losing interest very quickly.

Lenny can't see how he fits them all into the team, well take out the guys with no pace, or have been playing too many games without a break. You'd play Watt before Hooper, but we need Hooper back on the goals and this could help him out.

So you'd have a five in midfield and send everyone out to run at teams who sit in.

I think Lenny's outburst yesterday was out of order, the fans have a right to complain if it isn't working and the big gap between defense and midfield, where we are getting outnumbered, is the obvious reason why.

It is so mind-numbingly boring to watch. Everyone has got a bit carried away with the Barca result. We have one way to play and to change the way we play we need to change the personnel.

If Lenny says "If the fans want me to go, i'll go!" That's a threat. It's out of order. He can think that, but he can't say it to BBC Scotland. At the start of the game he puts the team out their and has to manage who's fit to play against a fast, fit and skillful team. He's grossly underestimated the opposition and not dropping players who aren't performing.

We sign players to play them, not sit them in the stands or on the bench, or send them to Aberdeen and their form goes through the roof.

Lenny wants us to be patient, but we pay money to watch good players play brave football, not constantly play the ball to defenders. It must do Hooper's nut right in, because we've been playing like this for months.

Was at the game yesterday and i have to say it was so dire. I agree with most of what Shane said. Most of the team tried but it wasn't good enough. Paddy did try and liven things up a bit when he came on but it was just so bad.

Missed the Green Brigade yesterday too :54:

I don't think that was the point he was making. You're just jumping the gun and trying to be provocative.

He stated himself that he does not have a lot of money to spare, but decided to use it to watch Celtic yesterday, thinking that it would be worth it. It clearly wasn't. He could have used the money to buy Christmas presents or something else, like the other 44,000 that turned up to watch that garbage. Paying supporters are understandably * off with the recent SPL home performances.

Yesterday was enough to make you sick and the lack of finishing was worrying, but the players need to pick themselves up and have a right good look at themselves. Not pointing the finger at players out injured as that can't be helped.

Am I the only one that thought we played....alright. We lacked a cutting edge in the final third, our strikers just weren't on form, but in all other departments I felt we played good enough to beat ICT.

I thought Lennon's team selection was spot on, substitutions, for once, came when we needed them and not 20 minutes later. We had enough chances to win, Riguero saving the majority (Lassad cross, Sammy knockdown, Commons volley at point blank range, Riguero excellent save)

The stats say it all, we tied ICT on 3 shots on target, however we had 11 shots to their 7. Conclusion, we need Stokes in these league games!

Anyways, have faith, Hail Hail, we're No.1 in the SPL.

The problem is that we have become too predictable. Teams will sit in and try and counter attack, as we have done ourselves in Europe. St Johnstone yesterday knew exactly how we would play. This long ball, whether straight to Sammy to flick on is getting far too easy to read. When teams sit in we have no players starting that can open up defences, get the defenders turning. Forrest injured, Commons off form. When things are tight we dont have a Larsson or a Petrov than can create a bit of magic or find that killer pass. Recently we have been relying on set pieces to score from, not creating too much in open play which doesnt help our forwards.
What I find really frustrating is the pace we play at. We go forward far too slow at times, slow passing, slow movement, too many back passing . If teams are going to get all the players behind the ball, the pace we are playing at allows them to do this. Pass it quicker, move quicker and lets get in behind teams.
Players shouldnt need rotated for rest as they are professionals. I can understand why Lenny is reluctant to rotate, while we are in Europe he wants consistance. But thats not happening, league form tells us this. But by bringing in fresher players keeps other players on their toes. Too many think they are certain to be picked and playing. Make them earn it Lenny, not because they have did it before 5 or 6 games ago !!

On a positive note Ambrose was sensational once again yesterday, it's so pleasing to have such a confident and imperious figure at the back.
That time the ball was going over the top of his head and he was being dangerously chased down, did he panic and * it up like Mulgrew, Majstorovic, Loovens or Old Wilson would have?
Nope, he just casually flicked the ball over his head and got on with.

    Brilliant stuff.

So then, the problems are narrowed down to; an over reliance, even dependence, on the long ball (effective against diminutive Barca, not so much against Luisao and Shinnie) and poor individual performance/lack of concentration from the players?

    Who votes aye?
