I haven't forgotten about the offside rule watch it again he could have been sharper getting to it. Not that significant now anyway. we have a great chance of getting through to the last 16, and although Spartak are a solid team, Barca absolutely raped them tonight. There discipline and defensive positioning is questionable at times, and composure and keeping the head will be key on the 5th of December and we have a great chance of doing it. Very happy with the position we are in it is still in our hands, one of the best outcomes we could have wished for at the start of the campaign.

We should feel honoured, then. Bizarrely enough.

Completely agree. Wanyama, Ledley and Samaras all got booked for nothing. Samaras & Wanyama couldn't do anything without the Benfica players hitting the deck. They tried to hold players off and shield the ball for them to only fall down pathetically. Took only about 3min 30secs after the game started for a Benfica player to go down as if he had been poleaxed.

Ledley's booking was a * joke as well as it was a clean tackle getting the ball if I recall.

Not using that as an excuse for not winning but when the ref is inept like that then there isn't any flow to the game.

I noticed that as well. I'm not too familiar with Benfica's stadium but it seemed a bit flattering.

I think their stadium is a 65,000 seater, so there was approx. a good 18,000 empty seats there tonight.

Sorry guys if you think that I am out of order for being offended about the use of the word 'rape' being used in a footballing term. Maybe it is just me but maybe you need to upgrade your vocabulary. No offence, you probably do not realise that it is inappropriate.

You have every right to object to anything on here, you have no need to apologise or back down.

The formation we started the game with was wrong and the better team won.

Oh well, as I said 'no offence.' to you. Let's just hope that Ambrose turns in a five star performance in future Euro games so that you can compliment him instead. I like him.

Celtic didny play well tonight, gave the ball away, didnt try and slow things down and keep the ball, then when they did have it they gave it back to cheap.

But i reckon we can beat Spartak and Barca will beat Benfica.

No matter what, Celtic will play European football in the New Year.
