Wanyama being suspended for the next game is just as big a loss tonight as the result:54:

...seriously, newsreader on STV, 'Celtic only needed a draw!' as if we only needed to turn up, take it and go through!!!! I had serious concerns about this game ie us not being the home team and Benfica needing to win (they have got a good home record, by the way)
Anyway, It was a poor performance. Too many unfit/injured/sick players for starters but I was so happy with the Barcelona result and the guarantee of European football after Xmas.
Really looking forward to the Spartak match and a good result! It has been a fantastic campaign (away win and Barcelona win) All good!!!

To be honest Ambrose, Forster and Wanyama are the most reliable players in our starting XI. The only ones who consistently play like they give a * no matter where or against whom they're playing.

    Pick a new sport?

Probably been following football longer than you.

Ambrose's "quality and composure" did not do him any good when he was "defending" tonight did it?

Did well a few times when he took the ball out of defence, but was shakier than a fat naked burd sitting on top of a washing machine on it's last spin.

Yes us and that * centre back position, Caldwell,McManus,Mistakeovic,Ambrose....can our scouts not spot a decent centre half...there will be more mistakes from this guy.

I think you may have forgotten about the offside rule. He wasn't caught flat footed, he was making sure he was onside.

Watt should have slipped the ball through to him with his earlier chance.

Hello Miguel, Where were all of the Benfica fans tonight? This was surely your biggest match of the season and I was surprised to see all of the empty seats in the stadium. Seems such a shame that your fellow supporters did not turn up to support what was a really great effort and result for your team.:bbpd:

Hopefully Beram will get the bit between his teeth and show why he deserves a place in the starting line up.

Like everyone else I would of taking going into the last game with a chance of progression before the group started.
However,a few points, people on here are correct to be critical of the line up tonight.Brown should never of started,...besides the fact he is not fit, he now is not good enough for this celtic side,...Hooper was not fit and should of started on the bench to come on as an impact sub.Sammy was his usual inconssistent self.We needed a point tonight and Lenny plays 2 up front...why?
We were lucky not to be beaten by a lot more tonight...Lenny is still very naive in my book.he has done a great job in Europe so far this season in fairness but some of his decision making is bizarre.

This is a discussion forum after all and differences of opinion are positively encouraged. It would be boring if we all thought the same.

Even if you are wrong about Ambrose.

I'm the same as you. Nothing wrong with a difference of opinion in any case.
