Efe Ambrose performance tonight was one of the most standout shockers I can remember from a Celtic player.

Actually think I saw someone say he was good a page back? That person must be high, he was shocking and I don't know how anyone can say otherwise.

At least stun us all first.

Disagree I think Lennon picked the perfect team tonight, infact on here just a few hours ago the team was announced and everyone was happy, didn't hear anyone complaining - either fans or pundits or commentators.

Lennon picked the right team and did as much as he could, fact is the players were in control and they didn't do enough. Can't blame anything on Neil tonight imo.

If we had done that we would be sitting here talking about a 6-1 battering.
Our defenders played too high a line for large parts and weren't anywhere near co-ordinated enough, they found space time and time again in behind us so if we'd tried to take the game to them we would have got destroyed.

Lennon lined us up 442 and went with as positive a formation as he could, but the players just didn't turn up tonight.

It's disappointing but you take it and move on. Only British team to score tonight and our players didn't cost 500 million to bottle it like Chelski and City ect!

I agree. Yes we were poor tonight but are folk really angry that going into the last game we've secured europe after xmas and still have a fighting chance of the last 16?

I'm certainly not! The Bhoys have given there all in these games and not once have we been embarrassed, going to both Barca and Benfica and losing narrowly is certainly no disgrace.

You did mate though I think you guys can play better than you did tonight. I doubt you will find many Celtic fans who would not accept that you were the better team.

Hope you can get a draw in the Camp Nou, as long as we defeat Moscow.:icon_mrgreen:

    Forster was excellent again
    Lustig was decent
    Ambrose was woeful
    Wilson was okay
    Matthews got pass marks
    Brown was good
Wanyama was good (we'll really miss him in our last game)
    Ledley worked hard.. decent game
Mulgrew was pretty poor but he wasn't too bad. Fantastic corner again.
    Samaras didn't get a sniff
    Hooper was poor

Kayal played well after coming on
    Commons didn't do much
Watt looked lively but should have done better with the chances he got.

    I'm not picky.
Hooper can only do so much when he doesn't receive the ball though. If he doesn't get the service then what else can he do?

He chased everything down and almost got the equaliser right at the death.

We were happy with the team because we thought if they're on the team sheet they're fit enough to play.It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that some of them were not fit to start ie:Brown,Ledley and Mulgrew.

Lassad,Kayal and Miku/Watt should have started imo.

Dissapointed. Could just tell straight away that the attatude wasn't right, and if it wasn't for the great wall we could have got pumped tonight. But I always try my best to be positive, so if anything this is a knock back to reality we needed, and a wake up call for two weeks time.
It will be a very tense game, the crowd will do their bit but i really hope they dont get on the players backs too much as thats just added pressure. Spartak will want revenge for what we done in Moscow, but considering whats at stake we should/need to get the job done.
Just one of they nights we need to put behind us and learn from. Next two weeks are crucial domestically, players NEED to be rested. The team was * tonight, we need a fit team to turn up in two weeks time and give us a show. Wanyama and Brown are likely to be out which is massive losses, but Kayal and Ledley can do the job :50:
Thats my rant over for the night, KTF Bhoys and Ghirls :celt_2:

i thought we came out and played way to defensive in the second half, showed them too much respect imo , i think it was a lost oppurtunity .that being said if you would have offerred me, win or maybe draw in the last game at home and your through i would have jumped at that .

That is all I would ever ask of the team. The reality is that there are many better teams than us but as you say, we have raised our game (maybe not tonight) and given the club back some much needed pride in the Hoops. From all quarters as well, not just our own fans.

I agree his distribution isn't perfect yet but tonight he had literally no-one in any decent positions to find in midfield. Ledley, Brown, Mulgrew were all empty jerseys basically so all our defence could do was hump it to Sammy or Hoops. We're never gonna win that way as despite what the media say, we're not a long ball team as we can't deal with them or make them work at all most of the time.

Well opinion seems to be split 50/50 ish on Ambrose so clearly not.
Not as if I just said "Wilson is better than Pique" or anything.

If you can't see Ambrose's quality and composure then take a trip to specsavers or maybe pick a new sport.

Everyone keeps telling me he is a 18 yard box striker, instinctive..poacher type player. He had that chance at the end when Tony Watt drilled it through and he was caught flat footed, games like this you may only get one or two good chances as a striker, these have to be taken. His work rate and attitude of late has been terrible and I am not alone in thinking this. I am not taking away the fact he is a good striker on his day although he just looks at times like he cannot be *, and he just seems to be a negative influence at times

:50:Plus if he managed to get that ( was a bad shot/pass or whatever the * it was by watt ) then we would be saying he was a,azing tonight. He gave his best and could only run so much considering he's not match fit.
