I remember back in the day when I was a wee chap. Never had a season book, no money for a ticket and I would still go up on the Irvine No 1 bus just on the off chance I could skip in. If I couldn't which was very rare I remember meeting all sorts of other wee guys from different places hanging around outside listening to the crowd wondering if it was a goal or not. Then came when the stadium was to get knocked down and we used to watch the game from the school wall, even though we could only see one half of the pitch it was worth it. That for me is what Glasgow Celtic is. Even through those times Rangers were winning their 9 in a row but it didn't matter to me. Celtic park was and still is magical.

On the topic of leaving early...

There was alot of fans who lefted early and missed Lennons speech. Maybe they never knew Lennon was giving a speech but if they did, surely they can't be considered as good as fans as the rest who stayed and clapped or captain off the park?

Agree I want Rangers to crash and burn. Likewise they will do with us. Part of the rivalry

Maybe they were some of the numerous fans who post on Celtic websites saying that Lennon is pish and can't wait for him to leave.

Or maybe they had a table booked.

Or maybe they had work to go to.

me and my dad waited until the match finished then left, missing his speech. neither of us like him as a player so we weren't sticking around to hear him.

Well...If you can't show your captain a wee bit of respect (even if you do thing hes pish) your not much of a fan, especially with the abuse he took fur us.

Obviously people will need to leave early but its funny that these fans seem to get the day off when we play Rangers etc

I left at the end of the game and missed Lennys speech. Does that make you a better fan than me jonny? I think not. Since I have not got a job at the moment my missus has to get to her work on time. So I left after the game to get home and watch my kids, and as I came down to the exit I gave Lenny my own private clap. Your attitude * me off that you think you are above other fans. Do you think Lennon would be there if I was to jeporadise our income just to clap him off the park?

Personally I think sco-ire1888 was wrong to do what he did. Can understand he's not your cup of tea but Lennon has took some mighty blows as captain on our behalf and lead us to 2 in a row and the last 16

If Lennon wasn't Celtic 2 the Core he would have been sensible and moved to the EPL for those reasons alone every Celtic fan should should clapped him off the park

never have i once denied that lennon was celtic to the core, i have only criticised his playing abilities. if i played for celtic, i would give all the effort that he has put in over the years but it still would not make me a good player.

Aye it is. After Hartley lefted Hearts, jonny thought it was wrong that we spended 1 million on him.:84:

My grammar is shocking get a sudden urge to add "ed"

But I'm a maths man, I really should be studying for my Advance Higher Exam tomorrow but I'm too busy telling my fellow fans how to behave

Btw I have been right so far with Hartley still along way to go but I'm confident he will be a forgetful signing

Why not stay a few mins more and clap a fellow fan off the park?

Were you clapping the fact he was getting subbed, or clapping him for 6 and a half years of good service?

    Just curious. :84:
