@RonWaxman: Fresh off his return to #USMNT I want to wish @jagudelo11 the best tomorrow as he begins training with Celtic FC during the #MLS offseason.

    His agent.

    I like. I like.

First time I'd heard of him until I read this thread.

    He sounds pretty decent.

Is that the young guy at NY? Wouldn't mind him on loan during their end of season to have a good look at the guy what age is he now?

Good to see us offering training whilst the MLS is in off season but where are the loan / signing stories coming from?

Also how long does the MLS off season last?

Well, officially, I gather the off-season starts December 2nd (it varies from year-to-year, of course), the day after the MLS Cup ... and lasts until the beginning/middle of March.

But, certain clubs, like the shockingly woeful Toronto FC ... their season ended last month by failing to make the playoffs.

Has bags of potential and would be a start at properly harvesting the American market.

Like the look and sound of this one, I hope he impresses.

Definitely take him on loan considering his age and you never know if a striker is going too be suited to the SPL,

We don't want another Bangura which we would have to loan back to the * team we bought it from cause he isn't performing!

This is a tricky one - to say that he's stagnated a little bit would be an understatement, but obviously he's still very young and clearly has talent. In addition, it's common for MLS players in and around the US National teams at any level to train with another team for the offseason with nothing coming from it. Sometimes it genuinely is just a training stint arranged by either the agent or Klinsmann. In this situation specifically I'm not sure how Agudelo would qualify for a work permit.

We done it with another American about 2 years ago, a midfielder think he was a decent goalscorer cant mind his name.

I hope we loan him and see what he can do competitively. There's going to be an American superstar eventually and when they arrive, they're going to be worth their weight in gold.

This would be essentially a trial for the bhoy. I hope he grasps it with both hands.

I've followed this guy since he broke through at national level. He looks a real prospect with bags of potential. I know people would cite Altidore as an example of how it could "go wrong" but he's destroying the Eredevisie right now and is still only 21 (22 maybe?). I like the sounds of him training with us first though, means we get a chance to assess him before shelling out cash.
