Without fail, every time, people always get lured in and reply to Butch. The guy is a troll and he sees it as his mission in life, regardless of how sad it is, to upset people on here. Ignore the troll and he will eventually go away.

Not a great performance by any means, Aberdeens tactics to sit back helped us, allowing our defence to move up more and midfield to dictate at times. But to say we are a poor team????.........The biggest thing about our lack of form and consistancy in the league is the chopping and changing of the players, forced on us with our fantastic European campaign this year. To keep getting results in Europe midweek then play to form in the league is a Squad game. The players Lenny brings in are more than capable of doing it but there is just something missing when it comes to league games.............But 3 points is 3 points !!!!!!!!!

Butch, please think before you post. Everyone's entitled to criticise the team when they play poorly like they did today but don't be so * ridiculous. If we beat Benfica will you come on here and spout the same pish or will you concede that this team isn't all that bad even if it has a lot of flaws? I imagine it'll be the former.

I know it's not, mate, but do you honestly believe we're terrible? Poor at times, yes, but we're nowhere near terrible.

Delighted about the three points, but it's not heresy to admit that we played one of our worst matches today!

i think we might be riding our luck in europe, but benfica will be a differant style of play alltogether, but back to this game he havent the sense to be able to slip balls into the dee area therefore no * is getting a chance up front.

It wasn't pretty, but that's because Aberdeen did to us exactly what we did to Barcelona over the two games we played against them and attempted to just sit in and whether the storm. It's almost impossible to break down a defence like that, with ten men behind the ball. As you know, it took a cracking strike from Wanyama from distance which came back off the post and landed at the feet of Lassad to put us in front. We were never going to be able to pass our way through that.

When we scored however, we ended up scoring again four minutes later and started to dominate the way we normally do in the SPL, because Aberdeen came out and started to attack us, leaving them vulnerable to the counter attack.

It's not heresy but it's not accurate either. Today was a mediocre to decent performance, but nowhere near one of our "worst matches".

    Mowbray era anyone?

if you put 8 players in beside them, they have to make a break out. and has we have the 2 defending players left we hold the advantage.:celt_2:

Three points is what it was all about today, considering our form in the SPL lately.

The performances don't have to be breathtaking, we need to string a few wins together in the league and then go on a run. We will need to up our game against Benfica but we've done that in our Group Stage matches so far. Three points in the bag and we can look forward to Benfica now.

We were nowhere near our best but one of our worse ever? I can think of at least 10 worse off the top of my head.

The demands placed on this team by some people are beyond all reason at times. Compete in Europe but have absolutely no room for error in the SPL, even after energy sapping European games.

It's a trade I'm willing to accept. I'd far rather have a couple dodgy SPL games if it means us making progress in Europe, whether its in the Champions League or the Europa League.

At the end of the day we won. There's room for improvement and I've no doubt once the group stages are over we'll see the Bhoys put together a good SPL run much like last season! :50:

Anyway, we've got bigger fish to fry at the moment!

Good win and confidence booster before the game on Tuesday. Also good to see Lassad get off the mark, feel there is more to come from him now.
Another clean sheet too at a difficult away venue. Would like to see McGeouch get more game time as I feel we sometimes lack a spark in midfield, but overall a very satisfying result.
