No one's saying anything about what's printed in the rags. It's what Messi has said.

I know. Are we supposed to just lie down because they can string together passes?

Celtic led for 95 minutes. I'm personally 'disappointed' that we didn't take 4 points from the two matches. For all the passing and possession that Barcelona are so highly praised for, the fact is that when a team - Real Madrid, Chelsea, Celtic - defend properly against them, they don't know how to win matches; there's no plan B. Passing a ball about with no end product is more significant of an 'anti-football' side to me than a side who defends well, breaks brilliantly, and finishes clinically. We deserve credit for that.[/QUOTE]

I agree entirely with all that. There was nothing lucky about Celtic winning and Barca should have been down to 9 men by the end. Also believe that Celtic unlucky with injuries and also Samaras going off in Nou Camp. we'd have got a point at least with him on.

So I don't agree with Messi, but he's hurting and I see nothing wrong with that. It doesn't make him a 'wee *' or any of that other nonsense that's been posted on here. It makes him a hurtinng loser, which is great.

We were lucky? More like we deserved to win.

Xavi * up majorly for Watt's goal and we took our chances. They made mistakes, we took advantage of those mistakes, which is what any great team should do. We defended fantastically, especially considering the price difference between the two teams. Messi is judging us for sitting at the back and not attacking but he should * consider that he alone is worth more than our entire team, including the bench. We had no choice. Barcelona simply weren't good enough to get through our defense that night, it's not because we were lucky. Forster put in a world class performance and Messi brands it as 'lucky'. I love Messi and think he's by far the best in the world but he should consider these things mentioned above before opening his mouth to judge us.

Don't understand how people can disagree with him, of course we got lucky.

How ? The only luck on the night was that they never had Song or Mascherano sent off.

They hit the post and the crossbar, the ball goes an inch the other way and they score 2 goals, they hit us with everything but the kitchen sink.

Yes Iniesta we did score our first goal because we are bigger than you. It's called using the great height of players like Vic to our advantage and BOOM!

That ball goes an inch the other way it's wide. And a great save to it onto the bar isn't lucky. Could have been 3 nil when Watt was brought down on the edge of the box, and a red card. We weren't lucky... we deserved that victory more.

So if we were playing against an spl team and had 25 shots on goal, hit the post twice and had around 75% of possession and lost the game, you'd be saying that we didn't deserve to win?

I think some of us are being a wee bit twisted here. Barca players and directors, including Messi, paid homage to our club and our history all week. The wee man is disappointed, end of. He is a gentleman of a player and a football genius, people calling him 'a wee *' need to have a look at themselves IMHO.

Have to say I thought it was a joke when I read 'The Argentine cry-baby', it was only when I saw the link that I realised it wasn't. * poor journalism.

Don't really have a problem with what he say's here. Barcelona dominated us over the two games in possession and amount of chances. A would say the exact same thing if it was us that dominated another team the way they did against us.

Only thing that he says is wrong is

"Celtic came at us twice and got two goals from it."

That's annoying from the little *. When ever there was the chance of a break on, we did try to break away and get men forward. It was just difficult to get the ball of them.

You can't judge a game by stats. We defended brilliantly, Forster had a blinder and we deserved it. We weren't lucky. We restricted them to wild efforts from outside the box. The only luck was they finished with 11 players on the park.

Boohoo, comes out with * like that then he's acting like a wee *. It takes nothing away from Barcelona as a club, just him as an individual. I had a lot of respect for him but some of it is lost after this. Anyone has a cheap shot at Celtic, I don't care who it is, they will get criticised no matter who they are or who they play for.

so speaks the great defender of Celtic FC. Well done collossus! It is very subjective, even on this thread some Celtic fans think we were lucky. Some, like me, think we weren't. It's a subjective business about opinions. So arre the Celtic fans on here who think we were lucky 'wee wanks' too?
