Celtic and Rangers have both been handed home draws in the fourth round of the Scottish Cup.
Ally McCoist's team face their Third Division rivals Elgin City following a 7-0 third-round win over Alloa at Ibrox. City lost 5-1 in Govan on league duty in September but are only two points behind the leaders, Rangers.
Celtic face the winners of the third-round replay between Inverurie Locos and Arbroath. The Highland League side travel to Gayfield on Saturday following a 3-3 draw at the weekend.
The third all-SPL encounter sees Aberdeen host Motherwell. The Dons knocked out Motherwell in the quarter-final last season but the Lanarkshire side have fond memories of starting a cup campaign at Pittodrie, Stevie Kirk scoring the only goal in 1991 on their way to lifting the trophy.
Dundee United, winners in 2010, could return to Hampden early on after being drawn away to the winners of the replay between Stranraer and Queen's Park at the national stadium.
The SPL's bottom club, Dundee, face a difficult trip to First Division Livingston.
Kilmarnock have been drawn at home to the Second Division leaders Queen of the South, who are unbeaten in the league and face Partick Thistle in the Ramsdens Cup final. The former Killie midfielder Allan Johnston led Queens to a Scottish Communities League Cup win over Hibs this season before his side lost 1-0 to Dundee United in the last 16.
St Mirren host the winners of the replay between Brechin and junior side Bonnyrigg Rose while St Johnstone travel to Cowdenbeath.
Deveronvale of the Highland League were rewarded for their win over Stirling with a trip to First Division opposition in the shape of Airdrie or Raith Rovers.
Turriff United, who sit 11th in the Highland League, have been handed a home draw against Albion Rovers and Morton.
Nairn County, one of four Highland League sides in the draw, will host Ayr if they beat Forfar in a replay.
Elsewhere, the First Division promotion rivals Partick Thistle and Dunfermline meet at Firhill, Dumbarton host Hamilton, and Stenhousemuir have a home derby with Falkirk if they beat Berwick in a replay.
The ties are due to be played on the weekend of 1–2 December, earlier than usual in order to accommodate the SPL's mini-winter break in January.

Yep, we're like a creditable old bank with good reputation and history, while sevco and the old huns are like those "quickquid" sites.

Always happy to get a home draw. Especially after all the away draws we have had in recent seasons. Hopefully given we will be playing lower league opposition in this one the club will be smart and do something innovative with tickets. Such as maybe giving away free tickets for kids with every * ticket purchased. Or offer a free ticket to every season ticket holder etc. This is the perfect game for Celtic to be creative with tickets and give back to the supporters for a change and create some good PR.

    100% right

As I said earlier I like the romance of the cup so hopefully we get Inverurie. And you are right - we should be using this game as a chance to get as many people into the ground who dont usually go. Free tickets to local schools and charities, kids go free, etc.

Agree with both of you. The fact that these games are not on the ST means the club could get creative with prices and freebies and not upset the ST holders, something they can't really do for league matches.

Is it better to have 15k there all paid in full.

Or 30k with reduced tickets and freebies for schools, creating a better atmosphere and more sold at the catering?

Completely different level, park vale are 1st division juniors, i.e *. Locos are one of the better teams in the highland league, as are cove, so they shouldn't have to leave the league just so the * teams right up north don't have as far to travel

One of the * teams up north are the current champions. Back on topic, should be a win for arbroath.
