I wouldn't believe anything in the papers at all. It looks to me like people are trying to unsettle him; he has an agent that is actually looking out for him instead of being a money grabber. Which is very, very rare. He has two years left on his Celtic contract and he is very happy in Glasgow.

If an offer proves interesting to him and the money and terms are right for Celtic; he will go. Personally I think he'll want another wee shot at the Champions League with us and try and leave in January.

He'll know what the Champions League done for him last year and something similar this year could prove far more lucrative than a year at a mid-table Premiership club.

The ball right now is completely in Victor Wanyama's court, he isn't a rash young man. He chose less money at Celtic for the prestige instead of more money at Villa for money and the league. If Southampton or Cardiff or any of the myriad other teams that are being rumored to look at him manage to get to talk to him it will take a lot more than just money to turn his head.

Both Cardiff and Southampton fans are adamant that the clubs have a vision for there team in the future but it would need to be a very good one; couple with some serious money to back it up.

We'll see how it plays out. I think he'll be in the starting line-up against Cliftonvale in 3 weeks at the very least however.

Wanyama's the best player we've had since Larsson, who went to Barca. Boruc went to Fiorentina, McGeady to Spartak.

Can't think of any 'massive' players we've lost to smaller English clubs like Southampton, with all respect. It doesn't really happen.

Can hound me if I'm wrong (I won't be) but Wanyama will never sign for Southampton.

Look, we're bigger than a lot of teams in the EPL and their league is bigger and richer than the one we play we in. If we were in that league then a lot of players wouldnt feel the need to leave to play at a higher level but we're not so we need to continue to make the best of the little finances we get up here. I actually love the way we are putting extra work in to find good players rather than just throwing money at it

Irrelevant. We don't have a tendency to sell our 'best' players to teams like Southampton. As I pointed out above, anyone who has remotely stood out as special in our teams goes to bigger clubs. To give in to Southampton would be extremely rare, but a sad reflection on the state of modern football.

If that is Ki then he was always going. Wasn't a first choice here and £6 million+ for a fringe player wouldn't have been rejected

Are you speaking about Ki? He very rarely started games. I remember people were thrilled at the fee we got for a benchwarmer.
