    I'm not picky.
Aye I know. I never saw much at first play but when they replayed it and saw the way his arm bent....*, is a bad one.

Hope he comes back soon for you but not TOO soon though :smiley-laughing002:

I mentioned it earlier in the thread ahead of the match but no one was underrating Celtic coming into the encounter from what I read/saw from the club

You know, when you win, there's usually questions about how you did it etc...Bartra is a newly promoted player and Tito had been badgered about when he might play for weeks so the pressy revolved around that surprise inclusion in the starting XI - as well as how good/composed he looked...There was some talk about whether it was an own goal from Mascherano rather than Samaras nodding it in (Which would make 4 own goals this season)...Complimented Song's performance in place of the suspended Busquets

Vilanova when asked if he felt lucky, he responded that he felt a bit unlucky for not scoring earlier but was effusive in his praise of the team's desire to not give up until the very end

It may not appear that way from the outside looking in but Barcelona know Celtic football pretty well - there's a keen appreciation for similarities in the club culture...So no, no one was really surprised by the efforts...Remember, Henke was a legend for you lot but he's adored in Catalunya and everyone knows his Celtic history

    I'm gutted

    I could cry.

We done amazing, there 1st goal is beyond anything we have ever had against us. 2nd was pure tiredness. I'm so * proud of our lads and Neil Lennon.

We got beat off the greats, possibly the greatest. Hats off to both teams, I won't say wedeserved a draw because they made chances... but I can't help but feel we could have drawn of luck was on our side.

How * good are they? How * unlucky are we?

    Hats off all round.

I love being a Tim. We had them stretched and worried at points. More Than I've ever seen off any 'Elite' Premiership teams.

the days of the slow defender is over, it might still be a trait in the SPL
but it is of no use in Europe that, I am glad we have got a fit guy in Ambrosse in our team, as to me he was our man of the MATCH.

No I didn't mean that barca were underating, us. Far from it in fact. But in the media, especially English media, there was all sorts going around, "we'd be lucky to concede 5" etc.

He's right, on balance of play you deserved your win, but considering how hard we fought, and how much effort we put in I think we were unlucky not to get a point. It was a sickening way to lose the game

Very fair play to you mate and bang on with your analysis.

I'm gutted but I'm proud of our lads. Two great clubs and we all know you are a better team and you won by playing pure football the night, no cheatingc no playacting... pure football. As gutted as I am just now I can accept that.

I see...No, that sort of hyperbole or bravado isn't really part of the local media...They usually respect their opponents and if anything, tend to highlight ways the club can be punished - citing Wanyama & Samaras, in particular

Football is a gutwrenching sport...The highs are high and the lows are really low, I know it all too well, as well

I like clean matches where you don't have to point to a ref and I was resigned to the draw

As Crosas has said before, not sure you can be a Barça fan and not appreciate Celtic

You're all too right there mate, whilst we have often been on the wrong end of agonising late defeats, we got one away on Russia, and used to do it a lot of the time in our own league. At the end of the day, you can only admire the way you guys play, you beat us by playing football, no cheating, play acting, poor refereeing, just playing football. And as gutting as it is we can definately say we contributed to a good game of football.

True Mr Venglos, i agree Samaras is irreplaceable. Even though i was always a fan of the big man, It's still weird to say that. A year and a half ago he was never irreplaceable, but Lenny really has done a helluva job on him. But the outcome of this next Barca game doesn't matter one bit. Of course a point would be great but still very unlikely. Long as he's back for the Benfica and Spartic game, and hopefully the rest of the squad has no injuries, 2nd place is as good as ours as it is anybody else's.

    Gutted.

All of that effort for nothing, but so proud of our bhoys. We dominated them in the air with our areal threat but totally respected them going up on the final third.

Our defence looks quality in doubling up the attack from Barca midfielders and attackers. But credit gos to big the big man in goal in my honest opinion what a class act he was the night.

I think we can get a result against them at home, especially with 58,000 celtic maniacs behind the team creating that kind of noise.

They are one of the best teams to ever play football. With possibly 3 of the greatest players of all time in Messi, Xavi and Iniesta. Not including numerous other fantasic players with massive CL experience, World Cup winners, Euro Championship winners...
For a team of our stature to get a result like that is incredible. Yes they totally outplayed us but they have been outplaying teams for years now. You are seriously living in cuckoo land if you are disappointed in a team that has been put together on a relatively small budget, with little european experience, holding out Barca till the 93rd minute.
