I don't know if the part on Messi is serious or not, so I won't bite yet.

Use our strengths against their weaknesses

    Forster

    Lustig
    Wilson
    Ambrose
    Mulgrew

    Brown
    Kayal
    Wanyama
    Ledley
    Samaras

    Hooper

A sort of 4-5-1 ,4-4-1-1,4-3-3,5-4-1,4-4-2 try and get chances through set peices. If commons is fit would replace Hooper with him and play Sammy up top. Lustig,Ambrose,Mulgrew,Wanyama,Ledley,Sammy all up against Alex song at corners

Good team - a sort of 4-4-1-1, Samaras being given a sort of free role as an outside left. I think Izaguirre will and should play though. Wilson has been fine lately but he is always on the verge of a horrendous mistake and Charlie's delivery will be vital, as will his calmness at the back.

As someone said earlier, there are worse times to be playing Barcelona.

Playing Chico at LB at the Nou Camp would be asking for a roasting imo. He's infinitely better at LB on smaller pitches. Unsure what my team would be, but since it's my birthday on Tuesday I'm hoping for divine intervention as a wee present :icon_mrgreen:

Common knowledge but heres confirmation lads and lassies:

No Puyol, Alves and Busquets and maybe even no Pique...i'd say with that lot missing from they're defence and midfield we've got a right good chance of snatching at least 1 goal!!

We need Pique to be out. With Pique they are far, far more solid.

Alves being out could be the big one considering our biggest weapon is going to be our left wing out ball, Samaras.

But again we are getting ahead of ourselves, their back 4 and their keeper won't be busy for large chunks of the game and this will be the same at home as well as away.

Alves has been shaky defensively this year, Montoya has been far more sound defensively. One thing Alves does do though is bail them out on the counter attack due to his pace.

If Pique is out it forces Song and Mascherano into defence and there would be nobody there to cover Busquets.

It's not a situation that they have experienced before.

Why the * would Barcelona need bailed out on the counter attack? :56:

They dominate possession against every single one of their opponents. Bar none.

Their back four with probably be: Montoya, Mascherano, Adriano, Alba - with Song playing in Busquets position. Valdes is prone to mistake now & again too.

We need to attack them from the beginning. Shoot. High balls into the box, set pieces. That's the way to beat them, because they'll beat us on the deck.

Which leaves gaps in behind them, whenever a team counters against them it is invariably Dani Alves who is the quickest at getting back to disposses players.

They aren't that good that no team manages to not get any attacks into them...

we need to go out all guns blazing. If we try and sit back we'll get * roasted about 5-0.

Real madrid. Normally near 50-50 in an el clasico. Anyhow, Deportivo knocked 4 past them this weekend so it's not like it's impossible to score into them.

If we go out all guns blazing we will get roasted as well. We need to strike a fine balance between them.

If we take our chances we can win.

Thankfully our best players are in perfect form coming into this and I for one will be betting on Hooper and Samaras to score.

Said it awhile ago but with Barca's defensive injuries this could be a real cracker, goals aplenty.

The perfect game for us though as we will almost certainly still be 2nd at the end of the night. :celt_2:
