I am one of the first to say he wasn't up to much today. Couple of nice touches, and a few nice passes too. But somebody name me a player who was good today ? Forster, one good save, bit shaky though, I thought. Mathews, certainly not the Mathews that we have been used to lately, but I would say he was probably our best player today. Wilson, and Ambrose, shaky as *. Izzy, a bit too erratic at times. Commons, hadnt a great game today, but not our worst player. Kayal, I don't know why he was taken off, he wanted to attack. Mulgrew, his worst game for us in a long, long while. Forrest, was never a threat for us. Hooper, was never in the game. Paddy McCourt, even the G.B. never sung his song the day, that says enough. So, it beats me, when a new player comes in, makes a couple of starts for us, the whole play pish, and assertions are made already, about the new player. Miku, will come good for us, otherwise, Lenny, wouldn't have authorised his signing. :50:

    Neither they did.

To be fair they spent most of the second half trying to sing traditional Celtic songs to get the crowd into it.

    It wasn't happening though.

Didn't seem very involved at all today.

He was involved in our best chance with the knockdown to Ledley in the first half.

It's unfair to single him out. I seem him make countless runs off the shoulder of his marker, drift into space or go out wide and almost never get the ball because it went sideways or back.

We wanted to play through kilmarnock today and they were happy to show us inside and crowd us out.

Creativity from midfield was the problem today not Miku.

A think Miku is *, a would rather see Lennon play our young blood rather than foreigners, Miku appearances 5 scored 0 Watt appearances 10 scored 5!! I know who I would be playing!! Miku moanin to the papers and then he gets his start and * up, get him to * and start playing Watt, you could see the diference in the team when Watt came on.

How exactly did he * up? Was it the knock down to Ledley that wasn't right? The two times he got free of the defence only for Commons and Mulgrew to * up basic passes? Or the time he got free of his marker in the six yard box only for Forrest to play a bullshit cross?

If it wasn't for his teammates he'd have had an assist and a tap in in the 1st half alone. Plus another two one on one chances.

Not just singling him out, a lot of the team was more or less rotten today. Maybe I was just expecting too much of him but I really didn't think he played that great.

I don't understand all you Miku fanboys. Every match he's played in a Celtic shirt he's been pish. It's not as if he's a big name either, so I don't understand why you were creaming yourselves when we got him. He's a mediocre player playing for Getafe who are a mediocre team. He's had one half decent season in La Liga throughout his whole career but that's it. He's 27. People were saying he was better than Hooper when he signed, its laughable. I would honestly rather not have him as he's a complete waste of money and he's hindering Watt's development. I really hope I don't have the displeasue of seeing him in a Celtic shirt for another 60 minutes. I say 60 because we all know he's too pish to complete a full match.

This was a chance today for Miku to make his mark at Celtic and unfortunately he didn't take it no doubt about that. But I think its a little harsh to make sweeping judgements of him given how bad the whole team was today. He clearly has excellent technique but equally has not yet got to grips with the physical nature of the spl.

Can't help but feel sorry for him. Poor guy was clapping the fans when being subbed, thinking we were cheering him, then quickly realised we were jeering and booing him to hurry up. Walked straight down the tunnel, he looked gutted. Wouldn't be surprised if he started crying after that - seriously.

    * I remember that after reading your post!

That was weird, he did take an eternity to come off though and were begging for urgency in the team.

I don't care if he starts crying or not, the only thing I care about is that he performs well when he is on the pitch. He was crap today. So he can cry as much as he wants too, but the next time, I expect him to be playing much better.

Not so much the * up... I would say you could see the more passion in Watt.

That changed the tempo in the game

Same happened with Samaras a couple of seasons ago - majority of fans abusing him going off the park. Can't help but feel sorry for players like that.

It wasn't abuse directed at him personally, more the length of time it took him to get off the park.

He might not have taken it that way though.

I thought he made some intelligent runs today and never once was he picked out.

People can call him a dud all they want but if he had even half of his runs picked out today then he would have done some damage I'm sure of it.

I guess if he was like Kenny Miller and chased the baw doon London road then he would be afforded more time...

Fanboy because I think he had a decent first half today? :icon_mrgreen: Pretty obvious he isn't a mediocre player either, although it's looking more and more like it won't work out for him here.

Do you not think it's a bit daft to completely rule him out when he's had the equivalent of less than 3 full games?

And surely if Getafe are a 'mediocre team' it makes his 12 goals last season all the more impressive?

I dont buy into this "he cant fit into the scottish game" or "the teams just not right for him" rubbish. He was getting more than enough service in the past few games he's come on for and has still failed to convert. Hes got to start scoring goals or he will go the way of Bangura.

Id play Watt before him every time ... he just doesent look as though he is liable to score, a bit like Bangura in that respect. I doubt he will be here after the season ends.

I thought Watt should play ahead of him before he arrived, same goes with Lassad, and my opinion hasn't changed.

Mate send me a message on Skype this morning saying he has heard a rumour that he requested to go back to getafe? Anyone can confirm or deny this?
