Haven't watch a series since SOA a few months ago. Find it hard to find the time. Watching TWD on a Monday and next week will be watching Modern Family on a Monday aswell as that starts again. Got 3 eps of FTWD to finish of S1 right enough. Now that's it's the dark cold nights near enough I'll need to start something again...thinking of going back to The Wire again, was enjoying it no idea why I stopped.

The Wire is the best I've seen. Also liked The Sopranos.

For comedy shows it's Frasier and Blackadder II - IV.

    It's fantastic.

The next 4 or 5 episodes are pretty good but they're a sort of 'bad guy of the week' type. After that you're laughing.

    Any Twin Peaks fans here?
Wonderful little clip from Angelo describing how he (and David) came about creating Laura Palmers theme. Great storyteller.

Right, so The Walking Dead, Gotham, Brooklyn Nine-Nine and Family Guy have all started again, anything else?

It's the 'fall season' now in America so loads of stuff will come back on.

I watched 5 episodes of the Sopranos and decided to stop. Simply because I read up about it and the consensus was that it's a "character study" and not a "thriller" like Breaking Bad, Sons of Anarchy, Prison Break etc.

I was enjoying it to be fair but I didn't fancy it if it wasn't going to get all dramatic and intense as other shows usually do after 10 episodes at most.

I'll probably go back to it soon enough

Does it carry on in the same vein as the first 4 or 5 episodes?

My list of completed(up to date) shows in order of what I started watching first..

    Entourage
    Lost
    Walking Dead
    Breaking Bad
    Prison Break
    Sons of Anarchy
    Game of Thrones

I think I'm just going to need to rewatch one of these as I can't find anything else to watch now that I've finished SOA.

Anyone who enjoyed these shows too.. do have any suggestions for me?

    This post makes me upset.

I will admit that it's not as 'thrilling' as the three shows you mentioned as those three are all fairly hectic action-wise, but I think calling it a ''character study'' makes it sound a lot more boring than it is. It's full of violence and drama, with a fair bit of comedy as well.

I would actually say The Sopranos is as intense as the shows you mentioned, not in the sense that there's a cliffhanger at the end of each episode but just in the way it's written and acted, I want to give an example or two but it will just spoil some of it for if you do get around to watching it.

It also has a lot of ''what the * just happened moments'' like the other shows you mentioned but they're just more evenly spread out throughout the show. I honestly can't find any faults with the show. The first season is slightly dated but that has never bothered me tbh. Everything else - acting, writing, soundtrack, story, ending, character development * all over anything else Ive watched.

I'm watching It for the fourth time and I doubt ill ever watch any other show that amount. Maybe Breaking Bad but that won't be for years.
