well, there's an austrian series named "braunschlag"; only 3 years old, but already absolutely cult! the american broadcasting station FOX is planning a remake - but I think, it can't be that good (like the original).

The season three finale was my favourite of the full show. Great twist in that episode

The new series of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Workaholics, Brooklyn Nine-Nine and Parks and Recreation have all started recently by the way.

It's always hit and miss with syfy series, but just watched the first 4 episodes of 12 monkeys (Based on the movie from 1995) and thought it was class. Good cast too.

Looking to watch a show for the next few weeks. Thinking of either The Wire or The Shield (not watched either before)

I enjoyed Sons of Anarchy and Spartacus, and watched Breaking Bad to a certain point but imo it wasn't getting any better (season 3 I think I got to) so chucked it. Also couldn't get into Oz so stopped after about 4 episodes.

Any tips on what's best between The Shield and The Wire?

Have you watched The Sopranos yet Paul?

I've not watched either of those you mentioned, they're on my to do list.

I watched The Shield last year, really is fantastic. 9/10

Stared The Wire a month ago but only watched the first 5 episodes, really enjoying it but I stopped watching it 3 weeks ago, no reason why. I will go back to it soon.

The Shield is fast paced like SOA, so you may prefer that. Where as The Wire is slower paced.

Cheers mate, I was swaying towards The Wire, but may change now that you've said that. :50:

Nice. I've done the box set about three times now I think, maybe even 4. :smiley-laughing002:

The first series second time around is great, because you know who everyone is and it's easier to follow the different crews and who's with who.

Just a flawless show, still my favourite ever although SOA is right up there and I'm still working through that (Season 6 Ep 10 I think I'm on).

I think I've watched Sopranos about 3 times too. It's the type of show you don't mind going back to.

SOA is probably the best I've seen recently, closely followed by Spartacus.

SOA is a weird one. Flew through the first six seasons and really enjoyed it. Watched the first 6 or 7 episodes of season 7 and haven't watched it since, that was about 2 months ago. Wasn't enjoying it at all.

I think the first two seasons were the best (the second in particular was fantastic) and it just went downhill from there.

Personally a loved every season of the Sons. First 8 or so episode of season 7 seemed like it was going no where, as if they were just filler episodes. But the last 4 or 5 really did pick up and it went out way a bang IMO.

You may as well finish it no many episodes left to watch:smiley-laughing002:
