I like big Jan, but Sutton was an absolutely tremendous player.

Great striker, scored goals, held the ball up, brought people into play, and set up chances.

But could also play in midfield or central defence. Sensational player, MO'Ns best buy without a shadow of a doubt.

Let me answer that in the NOW, JVoH over Sutton today, without hesitation! :84:
Question has Sutton retired yet, or is he STILL on disability money? LoL

he doesnt have to be drinking to say sutton was good, sutton was immense when he played for celtic, only he had his fare share of injury porblems, he scored goals a plenty and took a cracked his cheek bone trying to get to a ball in a european, which underlines how much he gave to celtic, but maybe thats not quality to u.

If you read my post it said was a tremendous player.

Sutton was virtually unplayable in his first couple of seasons, before injuries took their toll. If Jan can contribute as much as Sutton did I'll be happy.

Sutton no question! Big Jan's a great player, he's not been here long enough to be compared to Chris though.
Sutton was a legend, he could play every position with ease! Course i'm just biased though cos i love Sutton :87: :84:

Clever player and skillful, but overated by you and Greendave, Sutton was not a durable player, he didnt cut it at Chelsea, he was out far too often for many reason the average alcoholic could only match at his work.
Sutton played with a great Larsson that made him look better, Sutton fouled alot by backing into opponents, Sutton was caught offside too often, Sutton I believe has made more money than most football players for doing much less for any * team.
Tic fans have a habit of over rating players, and by the way what are you drinking? :56:

What do you mean virtually unplayable in his first couple of seasons?

True he did benefit from playing alongside Henke. But I've heard the great man many times telling interviewers that the best striker he played alongside was Sutton.

If you don't mind hubert I'll accept Larsson's opinion before yours.

And while we're talking about durability, big Jan hasn't exactly proved his eh?

'unplayable' as in defenders couldn't cope with his physical presence and power.

My comments are not sniddy, they are genuine, hardly find those two you mention any good, ffs if I question Sutton for reasons expressed, for he was streets ahead of the two you mention.
If you are going to try and be funny please think before you comment! :87:
