Listen, I don't care about the result tonight. I was one of the ones calling for Lennon's head a while ago but the man has built a real football team here. Not the best in Europe but for the budget and playing level, a really competent footballing outfit. They will only get better if he manages to keep them together for the next couple of years and this tonight without arguably two of the better footballers in Kayal and Ledley.

 

Mulgrews just not a midfielder.. Ledley should be in there.

More than happy with 1-1 at the break. Playing well, just have to keep playing well. Caught out by one over the top ball, not all that bad and I remember some slaughters away, this is none of that, it's a match where we are matching Spartak in their own midden. I am proud of this team and this match will be an excellent learning curve. Here's hoping into the second half HAIL HAIL.

We need more possession if we want to win, we where fortunate to get a goal with so little of the ball, can't see it happening again. Brown seems to be the only one pressing high up the pitch, defending deep for the whole second half is a dangerous game in my opinion

 

Don't get me wrong. I wasn't blaming Sammy for the goal - that was down to not making a simple defensive play by Wilson, but Sammy gave the ball away when I had just gotten through saying we needed to show more composure on the ball. It could have been anyone - it just so happens that it was Sammy that gave it away senselessly.

Mulgrew has been poor. If I were Lenny I would be looking over at Ledley and consideration that a substitution might not be a bad idea.
