I'd imagine Mulgrew and Mcgeady would be pretty good mates, surely Mulgrew knows Mcgeadys game inside out? Regardless he won't be playing left back, Izaguirre will definately be playing.

    Forster

    Lustig Wilson Mulgrew Izaguirre

    Wanyama

    Brown Ledley

    Sammy Commons

    Hooper

Wouldn't mind seeing something like that. Matthews in at right back if he's fit. Sammy wide right, commons wide left. Toss up between Ambrose and Wilson, would go for Wilson going by his current form.

Why Ledley on the right and Broony on the left?

You can argue the point until 5 tomorrow night, he won't be playing at left back so it isn't going to be an issue either way.

Yeah I changed that, never thought about it when I was typing it out.

Can't see Lenny dropping Forrest to the bench though

I just hope sammys on the left and hooper up front. We need sammy driving forward and taking any shot on goal he can to test this second choice keeper. Hopefully hooper is lurking for spilt balls or in good positions to take a pass.

For anyone who fancies us tomorrow (like myself)

Open an account with BetVictor, who have us at 6/1. When you open a new account with them they match your first bet up to £25. So stick £25 on us and they'll give you another £25 on us.

£50 at 6/1 is £350, and minus your free bet stake = £325

£325 is an excellent return for a £25 bet on us.

I'm pretty confident, but still cautious. You mentioned Spartak's poor home record, but remember we also have a poor away record in the Champions League, which could also provide something of a psychological barrier.

I usually dread these away games but with our decent away record recently I'm a bit more confident, I think we'll make a right good go of it.

Wouldn't be betting a hundred quid on us winning right enough, I'd be more inclined to go for the draw, and even then I'll not be putting money on it.

    ..................................foster.....................................
    Lustig.............Wilson..................ambrose..............izzy
    Brown.............wayama.................ledley.........mulgrew
    .......................hooper................samaras....................

Matthews passed fit would start, but he's doubtful.
Brown and mulgrew would provide defensive protection to our full backs. Mulgrews delivery from set peice and the left wing could be crucial. He'd have hooper plus samaras too aim for I in open play. We would be a tall physical side also. Players such as Lustig,Wilson, ambrose, big victor, ledley and samaras dangerous for us on set peice, and off course mulgrew also when we defending them.
We would have forrest, commons and miku to come on if things aren't going to plan

I think this is a bet from the heart, rather than from the head, this is a highlighted bet you made, its your bet we can not influence it at all, and we are left with hope you win, and its a shame should you loose. I would prefer that you said we will win, rather than how much you win or loose
buy the sound of it you cant afford to loose, or you would not mention it thats my take on it, as I know gambling you put yer house on it or your shirt,
in your case you let us all know you have a ton on, are you confident I will say no, but its your money. Will you miss it yes, I think you will if it goes * up, I would prefer you never mentioned gambling, as your way could rub of to others that could ill afford it. me personally I hope you win and that is for the fans, and my team WINING, if we get beat should I FEEL sorry, well no. whats a ton to loose.

Anyone else get a feeling Broony and Aiden will have a fight? I can just see Broony winding him up to * for ages and Aiden eventually snapping with Scott just standing there doing his stupid cheeky smile :56:

    Come on Celtic!!!! :celt_2:

Really looking forward to this now, cannot * wait! :icon_mrgreen:

I am for some reason really confident that we can pull something special off tomorrow, including maybe a clean sheet and one or two Gary Hooper goals :50:

    team id go for

    ----------forster------------

    lustig--wilson--mulgrew--izzy
    ----wanyama--ambrose-----
    brown----commons---samaras
    ---------hooper-----------

forrest to replace brown late on, miku to get a late run out. i think that team has enough cover and also enough going forward to nick a goal. maybe swap ledley for ambrose

Celtic: Boruc, Caldwell, Pressley, McManus, O'Dea, Jarosik (Zurawski 78), Donati (Sno 71), Scott Brown, Hartley, McGeady, McDonald (Vennegoor of Hesselink 65).
Subs Not Used: Mark Brown, Balde, Killen, Caddis.

Not really relevant to this thread, but to think the squad above reached the last 16...some average players in that team - but all worked together, that's what made us so hard to beat.

    ----

Celtic: Boruc, Wilson, Caldwell, McManus, Naylor (O'Dea 110), Nakamura, Scott Brown, Donati, McGeady (Riordan 104), McDonald (Zurawski 97), Vennegoor of Hesselink.
Subs Not Used: Mark Brown, Hartley, Killen, Sno.

Squad that faced Spartak in 2007. Although Spartak has become better, does anyone else think we also have, or have potential to do so with this team? Only thing lacking is experience.

Semi nervous.I honestly think we can get some kind of result over there, but i believe it will depend on how we start.
If we can last 25 minutes and have a few decent attacks, then it may augur well!
Not losing an early goal is crucial.
