    * is that? No width whatsoever, Sammy playing behind hooper when he's been playing class as a LM all season, Ambrose at RB?? and no Mulgrew!??

    * is that :56:

    Best reaction to an FM like approach to football tactics I've seen.

    We played with zero width in the Benfica game, and most people on here reckoned it was a good performance. Formations are illusions. You think everyone stays in their fixed positions? Samaras, for example, is always drawn to the wide areas.

    And width comes from the full-back positions, as it has since about 1970.

    Only thing about Hooper playing upfront is his height for crosses. Our biggest chance of winning this game is from set-pieces. We need height. Samaras is a must start.

    Plenty of height in our team...

    Lustig, Mulgrew, Ambrose, Wanyama, Wilson, Rogne, Samaras, Joe Ledley...

    For me tomorrow night, sacrifice Izaguirre for height.

    He'll be running at Lustig if he's playing his usual left mid,tbh he's going to be a handful for any of our players

    Would rather Lennon started Rogne at CB instead of Ambrose to be honest.

    He switches about, spent half the game against Barca in the middle as well.

    FFS, that's the right way round!

    If you view it the other way round, it's like you're lining up for the opposition. :smiley-laughing002:

    And the left wing is on the right side of the screen, and the right wing is on the left. :rolleyes:

    Plus, Izaguirre and Ledley are class together. We'll see the best out of Emilio again once the Welshman gets back to full matches.
