played well at times we where better going forward than we have been for a while
Ambrose looked tidy did the right thing got rid of the ball with pace slid a few nice balls on through the middle , when a seen the team was quite confident
of a result Raith got a fright as they thought the 2 banks of 5 where on for them early doors that soon made them spit out the dummy, as our forwards where staying up and closer together not all the time, but a vast improvement they young lads that where on looked comfy also, so things looking a lot better you could see there was a lot nicer football flowing, hated the old back passing and sideways passing. Hope that stuff dosen't return again.:56:

Satisfying win on a rotten night for football, not suprised the attendance was down.Raith, as I expected gave us a good fight of it.

Ambrose really looks the part, tall, confident and very agile, can play at the back and further forward, if we ever get Wanyama and Ambrose in the one team it is going to be very daunting for the opposition.Amazing four goals by Hooper, the more games he gets the fitter he becomes, and Dylan McGeouch was in equally marauding form, what a pool of players Neil has assembled here.Bring on Spartak :icon_mrgreen:

Efe Ambrose, what a performance. He looks like a more mobile, skilful version of Wanyama. Strong, tall, great passing (apart from one), makes good forward runs, guarded back four well, skill for the second goal was top class. He'll be a star.

This fascination in the media with attendances and commenting on them every game is a * rid neck. Any fan of any club who pays out money at this time deserves praise.

Well done to all those who did so tonight, given the extra expenditure for Champions League games also having to stump up with.

Efe Ambrose: "It's been great for me settling in, like home for me. It's not been easy as I have had a short time to adapt." "But the feeling I had with them was amazing as they have helped me settle in quickly. So I am enjoying things here." "This is one of the biggest clubs in the world, and the history behind it is great. I am here to be part of history." "What really matters is team spirit & team work. We are one. It doesn't matter who plays but that we have same objectives and goals."

EA on Gary Hooper: "He was superb. It was the first time I played with him for 90 minutes. He is one of the best I have seen so far."

what was the cost of tickets tonight ?

cause 3 games in a week £25 £30 a pop is a lot of dough for the working man

should probably be around the £15 mark for the diddy cup untill the later rounds or bigger sides

    +1 :50:

    ---

I have nothing but admiration for ANYONE who is willing to go and stand out in this kind of weather for the best part of 6 months in Scotland and pay out anywhere between £15-40 for the pleasure of doing so. These are the people who will gladly and proudly fork out this week in, week out to go and support the club.

The media stir up * anywhere they know they can. In the past few years since i've started bothering to read certain articles about Old Firm related stuff it's been them, the media, who stirs up all the ill-feeling between the fans and then pounces on the aftermath of their media *-storms.

It's the same thing they're doing with making comments regarding attendances. Saw on another thread someone created speaking exclusively about this happening as well. So from the media mentioning Rangers having highest attendance in Scotland there's at least 1 Celtic fan raging about it already lol. The media know what they're doing in terms of riling people up, even on days we should be happy about 4-1 victories etc.

3 match package £100, 3 home league games £90 and tonight £15 plus two home qualifiers £45 That's £250 for any non season ticket holder, more than half of what it costs for a season ticket at the zombie dome and we're in September, that's the money it costs, it's expensive!

Who cares about the attendance tonight, we're * winning that's all that matters. Victories is what gets you ahead in football, our attendances are suffice!

    Just back.

Ambrose ran the show, looks * class, even though it was only Raith in the cup.

Lenny's done it again in the transfer market methinks!

Hooper and Forrest look back on form, Kayal and Ledley got some minutes under their belt, McGeouch did really well also and Matthews was very good.

    Pefect night really.

Also, attendance looked like 15k or so when I was in CP but outside waiting for bus I swear about 23k people walked past me :56:
