The thing is, KT will have a dip in form and having a player like Izzy to come in is invaluable.

LB's don't grow and trees and the new manager whoever it is, should be pulling Izzy in and telling him he still has a future here.

I dont think thats ever been the issue. Obviously if we could keep Izzy for 1-2 years more then we would, we'd be mad not too. More to do with Izzy wanting solid gametime as his prime starts to wind down. Probably wouldn't mind a big MLS paycheque as well I'd say.

Probably the worst crosser of a ball ive ever seen at Celtic park.
Sad to see him go though, can tell he loved us.

He wasn't that bad. I bet he has about 50 assists in his Celtic career which isn't bad for a left back.

I'd of loved to see him have a go on left wing.

I'm definitely going to miss him, he's been a fantastic servant to the club.

I'd love us to keep Izzy and try him on the left wing in front of Tierney, I think Izzy would make a decent winger.

He was horrifically bad. Every 10 crosses, at least 7 or 8 sailed over the bar.
Also our weakest link, defensively. Every team targeted him for a reason.

It's a clean slate next year though. Be a bit * if Izzy didn't think he could win his place back under a new manager.

Competition is healthy, players should relish it.

    Emotional!
one of those players who gave everything on the park and always did or said the right thing off it.
    Good luck Izzy.

Real servant to the club, will follow his career closely! Great to hear him speak about Tierney and how he's given him advice.

I'd give him another 2 year deal.

He's definitely lost a bit since the injuries but he's never really let us down.

Wish he could've stayed but he wants to be playing week in week out and he's not going to get it here the way Tierney is playing. Wish him all the best for the future

Has he said what his plans are for the future?

Doubt he'd get into an EPL side down south... maybe five years ago it would have been a different story.

Championship perhaps, or he might head back home.

He's not out of contract though, it's his own decision to leave. He wants first team football and that's fair enough really

So would I but he said post match that he wanted to move on so he could play regularly again. Tierney was singing his praises saying that he wouldn't be where he is without Izzy's advice last season.

Never realised how much I'm going to miss Izaguirre tbh. He's been a great ambassador for the club.
