Definitely keep him, he can guide Tiernay through. And one injury and suddenly were without a left back again.

He deserves 1st team football, he's a fair age now too so maybe it'd be best for both parties if he moved on.

Getting a bit of money for a guy who's not getting a look in. I know Tierney has been quality this season and Izzy seems like a nice, cheerful guy but surely it must grate on him to being behind a teenager in the pecking order?

I want to keep him. Tierney is brilliant but you can't rely on a guy that young to play 50+ games a season.

To get a fee for him and possibly replace him with a younger leftback as backup to Tierney. I don't think Izzy will ever get that spot back.

That doesn't make us a better team. It'll make us an injury or two away from Ambrose at left back again.

Use that then, tell him to fight for his place and win it back.

So we would lose out on one of our most experienced players, not get a lot of money and have a backup that we don't know if we can rely upon?

Ronny was using Ambrose as left back infront of Tierney, it would take another round of horrendous injuries for him to put trust in another young full back. Same thing happened with Fisher last season.

He's under contract and we wouldn't get a lot for him. On the footballing side of things, there's no benefit to Izzy leaving.

We wouldn't get that much for him and I don't think he is on massive money. Hopefully we can keep him, as an experienced pro he has also caused the square root of hewhaw aggro/negative press. Well worth keeping hopefully he will be happy to remain here.

It's weird to think if he wasn't injured for the fenerbahce game we might have only saw another two or three games from tierney this season.

If Emilio is off in the summer, best of luck to him. Absolute hero, not many players in the modern game will appreciate our club like him and sammy.

Decent back up for Tierney and a good SPFL player as he doesn't need to worry so much about the defending part as we can usually get away with it.

I know I have been heavy critical of him in the past but he can still be a useful squad player, just don't want to see him feature in Europe.

He was in the first 11 on flag day, Tierney was always getting his chance this season, probably never expected it in Europe (think the idea would of been to use Tierney in the league and Izzy in Europe). Also he was banned for a game after he * us with that red car against Ajax.

I think Izzy will run his contract down, loves the club and doesn't need to play a lot to be in the national team.

No, he wasn't. If Blackett wasn't beyond gash he wouldn't have been playing. Blackett, Mulgrew, Izzy and Ambrose all tried the left back position before Ronny was forced to put him in and he seized his chance brilliantly.

He was obviously going to get chances in the team, maybe fed in a bit slower but he got thrown in the deep and performed brilliantly, worked out in the end. Blackett had what 2 games at Lb, Mulgrew injured, Izzy was first pick until October and Ambrose as far as I remember played Lb once maybe.

Blackett played two games there because he was *, not because it wasn't the managers plans to do so, Mulgrew played there before his injury as well, remember away to Malmo? Ambrose played there last season and I think earlier this season. Regardless, they were all seen as better options until Tierney was forced into the side and seized it with both hands.

Ronny has done very well with his development but it was never the plan for him to play as much as he has.

Well of course, if someone said at the start of the season this young 18 year old should be no.1 at left back ahead of Izzy, Mulgrew and Blackett it'd be laughed off. As you say it's been down to Tierney stepping up each time without fail.

We need to keep him. For the first time in ages we have two capable left backs, that's important in this day and age. Izzy is also a good influence on KT.

KT will have a drop in form at some point and it's important to have a good player to step in if necessary.

If Izzy was happy with that I would be looking to extend his contract, if not then he goes with my deepest thanks, he has been a wonderful servant.
