This story just reeks of agent. These people are unnecessary in the game yet every player has one!

I don't think many first choice players will play six games together
    this season.
Tom is a first choice imho but Neil will rotate the squad to suit the competition/team

I agree and wasn't being 100% serious, however it does annoy when Players regardless of who they are discuss contract negotiations with anyone other than club and agent.

I think at his age we will get a fee even if he runs out of contract as he is under 24.
I also don't think it is a bad thing if 1 or 2, though no more, are allowed to run down contracts as it gives the club a bit more flexibility to pursue bosmans when we know wages will be freed up at the end of a season: maybe not Rogne, but this applied well to the likes of big Dan.
I'm glad the club are negotiating hard, and although we would like to see Rogne stay the less we can pay him the more we have in the pot. Deserves a new deal and improved terms but certainly not a massive hike based on his appearances and injuries, still a work in progress

Got to disagree mate there are a lot of agents who don't do there jobs right and give bad advice to players but there are also a huge amount who represent there clients in a very professional manner and give them the best advice possible. If agents weren't in the game then you would see players being exploited by chairman because they don't no how to represent themselves. Fifa need to put more regulations in place to make sure that agents are representing there players in the correct way and they should also limit the amount of players that an agent can represent so that the agent actually has a relationship with the player rather than only being in contact with them when they are in negotiations which is why there are so many players just moving based on wages or how much of a fee the agent gets

If he has come out to the press then that's bad crack, seen this in the record if he thinks he is mulgrews level he needs a head check cause he said or was quoted saying that he wants the same as others he has been ok for us nothing fantastic to start playing hard ball with Celtic, if he is going to act like this then get him sold and bring another player in one player is not bigger than the team or club, he is not even going to be in the starting 11 FFS

He's still young and got plenty of potential. Don't know about the wages of Kamenar, but if they got the money to loan a 25 year old, bench-warming 3rd keeper for the rest of the season and not include him in the CL-plans, they should definitely find some dough to keep Rogne happy.

I hope we let his ciontract run. I've stated a few times on here I do NOT rate this player. I don't know why people get excited about him? He's not the type of centre half we require. He makes too many rash decisions. For someone who is over 6 feet u could not slide paper underneath him when he jumps a for a ball. Watch him the next time he plays. Never gets off the ground

TBF, the original article says 'he said', and then uses quotation marks. The scummy press still have rules where they can and can't do this without recourse if bullshit!

Don't know what wages Rogne is on, but he's no more than a £3-5k a week player.

Thing is how much is he after? he has done nothing really at celtic, he has been on the sidelines more than on the pitch, like i said if he is going to moan to the papers then move him on, am sure we will have a few centre halfs in mind who will come in and do us a job

He is the one centre-back I see as a starter in the long-term (unless our new signing Ambrose is good enough to be his partner). He has the potential to be amazing and even currently, he is arguably our best CB. We would be mental to let his contract run down.

Rogne dominates in the air. I don't see the problem.

wonder if we offered him a modest basic and then the rest based on number of appearances.

The headlines are sensationalised but there is obviously something in it.

Deaperately hoping we keep a hold of him, so much potential.

He doesn't deserve to be on the same wages as everyone else as he never plays. I would offer him an average salary and then good bonuses based on appearances.
